Faceup Tips Please?

Hey all.

 

I've done a few faceups on DD's in the past but I was wondering if anyone has any juicy tips that could help? My main concern is symmetry but I assume it's just practise and eye for detail!

 

Paint also scares me.

 

Any tips would be great, thanks team!

 

Jadepixel has suggested, and I found helpful, to check symmetry try looking at the head upside down. It helps you see it as just shapes which somehow makes it easier to judge if both sides look the same.

Another way of checking symmetry is to look at it in a mirror! I do it with my drawings because it's a lot easier to see flaws in symmetry when you change the way you're looking at it. Good luck!
