BeyondTime Posted November 12, 2018 Where this truly annoys me though is scale figures, and for whatever reason it seems to be done even more with characters that already have really large busts (or maybe it's just more obvious there); i.e. practically every figure of Valkryia Chronicles' Selvaria and the Dragon's Crown Sorceress. I basically refuse to buy figures where they do this, not just because they didn't follow the character design but really more because it makes the figures just look ridiculous to me. That's where I have an issue with their L bust. It pushes characters that aren't drawn in such an absurd style into the realm of High School DxD and similar series. L is perfectly suited for Kos-Mos, but not for Miki Hoshi & Takane. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

There's enough gap between those sizes for it, and it would solve that issue. They apparently created the SS bust for DDS Chihaya and DD Miku, so it's not outside of their standard procedures. Miku didn't even need SS based on most of her art she looks more like S to me.
cfx Posted November 19, 2018 EDIT: From your KOS-MOS pics I gather this picture is of the shoes on the DD-f3 body? That may be why the straps are so loose; I suspected this was going to be the case upon seeing the f3 pics in the magazine. The f3 feet are different than the DDIII feet; much less of the ball at the joint is covered by the skin, so the cirbleepference of the ankle is smaller. Oddly, the DDS feet were already made similarly to the new style. That's correct. That's the fit on an f3. Good catch. I imagine Amber will volunteer to try on shoes later. I'll let you know if the slack disappears. Did you check on this? Now I'm suspecting it might not just be an f3 issue. I have several pair of black leather pump-like shoes with those ankle straps and all of them fit reasonably tightly. However, I recently bought SB-SD16G-070, the sort of gold satin pumps with ankle straps: https://volksusastore.com/webstores/dollfie/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=8388 I just tried those on a DDIII a bit earlier and they fit about as poorly as your picture, where the buckles don't really hold together and align like they should. However, I was able to fix them and looking closely at your picture I believe you can do the same to these. Notice there are more buckle holes in the strap. I thought that was just for looks but the buckle can be moved; the pin that goes through the hole in the strap moves like it would on a real buckle. I did it like this: First I pushed/pulled the end of the strap through the center of the buckle to make it easier to work with. Then if you pull that end of the strap slightly it'll lift up the little pin, then you should be able to just pull the strap off of the pin, or use a toothpick or something to help work it loose. Then reposition the strap, push the pin through the next hole on the strap and then reinsert the end of the strap through the buckle. Or explained another way, it's like tightening your belt doing it the way where you're basically taking it off first instead of just making a loop in the buckle and moving to the next hole. I should've taken pictures but I didn't think of that until I had already finished both shoes. I have no idea if that is by design or just lucky that it's doable. Disclaimer: From your picture it appears the straps on these are the (fake) leather material. If so, this may be a little more difficult and there may be some marks or damage from where the buckle has been in contact with the strap. Those shoes I did this on the strap is a satin cloth material so while there was a little crimp where it had gone through the buckle it straightened back out pretty much. Amber (DD3) tried them on and they fit about as well as any of the ankle strap things from Volks have: not really tight but nowhere near as loose as they are on the F3 ankle. I have those other shoes you mention above around here somewhere. I don't recall them having that same loose fit. Maybe I just got a pair that was buckled on a different notch. I'll have to see about adjusting them.

Amber (DD3) tried them on and they fit about as well as any of the ankle strap things from Volks have: not really tight but nowhere near as loose as they are on the F3 ankle. This is a change for f3 that I don't like. It means all of these shoes with the ankle straps aren't going to fit as nicely. Also I don't like the look of the ankle with more of the ball exposed either. But since DDS was already like this I guess Volks decided that was preferable to the slightly larger ankles. I guess with the new bodies I'll just always have girls wear socks/stockings/etc. From your pictures, I'm guessing the lower end of the shin is also narrower than on the DD3. I had been curious if the various skin parts were actually different or just the internal frame; we know the busts did not change. Because of the discussion on new Saber's feet and armored boots, the new and old feet are clearly interchangeable as well, though perhaps tight or loose. If the ankle end of the thighs is actually different the DD3 feet would look odd on the DD-f3 though. I have those other shoes you mention above around here somewhere. I don't recall them having that same loose fit. Maybe I just got a pair that was buckled on a different notch. I'll have to see about adjusting them. That could be. If I noticed correctly, there are three holes and mine were initially in the middle one, I put them in the tightest one. Having done so, I think they're now tighter than most of the other shoes I have with the straps, so it's possible the straps are just a little longer on these or the holes aren't punched in quite the usual places. Given this quirk and the higher cost of f3, I'm going to stick to my plan to buy the old bodies for a project or two I'm trying to complete, and figure out what extra parts I might want and if/what I want for one-piece torsos. Innocentsake Posted December 15, 2018 I am so happy that I was able to snag the Nine Foxtails and ears set for my girls from Volks USA. Also went ahead and added a pair of the new MDD wrists to the order as well. Did anyone else enter their lottery for these items? also if anyone has pictures of their girls with the Nine Foxtails on I would love to see them as I haven't seen any aside from stock photos. Yeah, I put in for just the nine tails set ( along with a friend who put in for me as well ) and neither of us won. I've never been lucky at the Volks lotteries so I didn't have my hopes up on them. Looks like I have one more chance to get them at retail before having to hit the aftermarket where I know pricing will be stupid high *IF* I can even find any available for sale. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

Billy Oh man I'm sorry to hear that. I knew this item was going to be super popular since it sold out fast on International. I got them in the mail and they are really gorgeous. They just attach with a elastic band you wrap around their waist. Plan on putting them on my girl today or tomorrow after I get my doll room put back together (maintenance had to check the water heater which is in the sun room where my dolls live). Were you able to get them through that last chance? Also keep an eye on Mandarake. I saw a set on there for ¥6,000 but it had already been sold.

Luckily I *WAS* able to get a set! 3 of us tried and I was the one who actually wound up getting them. They came in today but I haven't had a chance to try them on anyone yet. I'm on vacation tho so I have plenty of time to do it. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

I finally got mine on my fox girl, Bai Qian (Anastasia). So only 5 out of 9 tails have wiring in them which was disappointing since the ones that don't will lean backwards. I'm not a fan of the elastic tie around the waist; I have been spoiled by magnets And my one last note is that on my set 1 out of 9 tails was attached with the fur going in the wrong direction that I noticed when I was smoothing the fur from the base to the tips of the tails All in all though I'm still glad I got them for my girl since getting Ninetails would have been harder and more expensive through other means. I may look for some really strong magnets for these tails and start that project later on~
