Apologies for not posting my own doll yet. First we were dealing with potentially moving... so things were packed away. And then my hedgehog almost died. It got very cold very unexpectedly, and she went into false hibernation. I have had to watch her closely, and it has made me extremely upset.

 

My own doll will be posted by the 16th, but I wanted to explain why I have had a delay.

My sister’s hedgehog’s rectum fell out yesterday, and I was like omg why. He sucked it back in. Precious little rice paper babies.

yes, they really are. luckily with my hedgehog we haven't had a lot of problems with her. she's extremely friendly and normally has no health issues. (other than her not letting me cut her nails lol) so i was very devastated that this happened to her. that is so scary... if that ever happens to my hedgie i will be absolutely terrified... does he need to go to the vet...???

I don’t think so, he’s been pooping just fine since. My mom says when it happens to people they just push it back in. I think if it doesn’t go back they would need to stitch it. We’re keeping an eye on him. Aww she sounds like a sweetheart. My sister is jealous of happy looking online hedgehogs. Only the vet can cut our hedgies nails.

i tried to play with her at our usual time. but she was in a big spiky ball and wouldn't come out of it. she would react to stuff, like she would curl up tighter... but she would not uncurl. i got really scared and just started getting blankets and towels and wrapping her up, because i had read about them trying to hibernate. i called the breeder and told her what was happening, and she confirmed she was false hibernating. then i had to spend several hours holding her with a heating pad and dryer-warmed towels. eventually she woke up, but i was an emotional wreck the entire time. i was non-stop crying. and then after they do that, you have to be very careful because it's a higher chance for them to try to hibernate again if they have recently done it. so i've had a lot of heaters on her, and i monitor her constantly to make sure it won't happen.

I am almost done getting all of the items for my partner. How is everyone else doing?

I've made a list of what I'm going to make and buy. Also got the fabric. I just need to sit down and get started.

I'm just waiting for their gift to get here then I can pack it with some locally made treats c:

I've gotten some stuff for mine, but I need to actually get started on the sewing process.

I got some nice stuff ready, I just need to buy some candies (unfortunately I doubt that my homemade cookies would survive an overseas trip) to have the parcel sent ^_^

I have been super busy and then got super sick. I am shipping mine out tomorrow, and I will send Tira's tracking number to her partner as well.

Not yet, I'm still trying my best to finish it up with all the other things going on in my life. But it will get shipped this month!

Illya and I got our package a little before Christmas. Life has been crazy, but here Illya is opening it.
