So i haven't bought anything yet the body i was going to go for seemed to have fallen out of my grasp. so im looking to connect with some people and see about building my own dream dollfie. the body style im interest in are the DDY with biggest bust option. as that's one of my preferences. with that being said im told by someone already invested in the hobby that its hard to find outfits for that body style and im not sure if that is true if it is dose anyone here make outfits and could work around my weird obsessions with customization. so this post may seem to ramble on but it has a point i promise. so i am reaching out to people here i can be friend and enjoy this hobby with but im also looking for a team i can build around for doll for custom wigs eyes outfits and anything eles i might need as my busy beauty when ever i get the option to create her will probally be needing alot of custom work witch means lots of commissions or money spent on the hobby and i need to know who i can go to so reach out if your intrested and understand what im after

I don't have a DDDy, and I am not familair with any outfits that are DDDy specific. I can't even really think of any recent releases that were just for DDDy. Many of the outfits that list DDDy also list SD16, and SD16 is a very different body. Some SD16 clothing would probably work just fine, but some of it wouldn't. It really depends on the pieces involved.

Like some MSD outfits will work on DDP, but it seems to be the ones with skirts and not pants due to differences in the legs and hips.

Volks is pretty good about marking which dolls are compatible, but even within the compatibility matrix some fits can be kind of meh.

Volks makes a lot of stuff for their Super Dollfie line that lists as also fitting their Dollfie Dream line. An example would be SDGr, which is pretty close in many of it's dimensions to an M bust Dollfie Dream, but with one big exception: Dollfie Dreams have a very narrow waist.

My SDGr's waist has a waist nearly 3/4 of an inch wider than my DDIIIs. Depending on the type of clothing this makes a lot of clothing fits a bit problematic. It's usually not an issue with loose fitting clothes, but some of the more form fitting styles just don't work.

I believe there are supposed to be some other fit issues with DDDy, I thought there was a recent discussion around here on the subject but I had no luck digging it up.

In terms of customs you should find custom faces easy to get. We have a lot of people here who do them.

The same goes for custom eyes. You'll find people advertising both those services in the marketplace.

Clothing is a bit harder and more expensive, but we do have a fair number of clothing makers, and should be able to find someone in the marketplace.

Custom wig makers are just in short supply, and even if you find one they may not do wigs in the style or materials that suit your project. They will probably be expensive too, at least compared to the cost of a regular wig. There are a lot of different businesses that sell wigs, so I would probably check as many as you can to see if one of them makes something that fits your concept, and if you can't find anything then look for customs.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

I think you need 20 posts to send PMs.

I don’t have a list of outfit makers. You will find them in the marketplace once you have access.

Especially when DDdy was first released, it was REALLY hard to find outfits for them. It's still a bit tricky, but things have gotten better.

Obviously, start with Volks (USA or International), which will list which outfits will fit and which won't.

Nightfall is a popular shop that makes clothing for DDdy, and may take commissions.

Dollheart also makes clothes specifically for DDdy size.

CheeryDoll is another shop that has outfits specifically for DDdy.

There are plenty of others; I'm sure folks here can add to the list. In general, a lot of stuff made for SD16 will work, although pants will be too long in the leg (you'll need to roll them up) and outfits can often be loose at the waist (easily fixed with a belt).

DDdy wears the same 8-9 size wig as all other DDs, so you can just buy from any wig shop. Custom wigs are really uncommon and very expensive, so unless you're willing to spend $100+ on just ONE wig, you probably want to just shop around and purchase a normal wig.

You can also look around for DIY custom eye kits; that way you can just make your own eye (this is probably the cheapest of all custom eye options).

Alice's Collections and Legenddoll carries other companies, so you could take a look there. They usually list/have an option to choose DDdy sized clothes, if such is available.

If you are out for a custom made wigs, I'd recommend DoubleKworkshop. Depending on their workload it might take a while to get the wigs though.

I think the only thing that's hard to find for them is pants. They have giant hams so the issue is getting pants around them up to the waist. I've resorted to finding sd17 pants for guys and modifying them.

For actual dresses, underwear and such, sd16 stuff will fit them.

Seconding the rec for SD16 girl clothes; that's particularly a lifesaver if you're looking for historical or very dressy stuff. (For some reason, stuff marked straight up DDY tends to be a bit more modern and naturally a bit flirtier, while there's some SD16 clothes that are classy AF.)

In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.

I contacted them about one of my own commission interests, and they are wait-listed at the moment. No charge for adding yourself to the wait list.

Be aware that Noxxbunny had a less-than-wonderful experience with Double K:

viewtopic.php?f=26&t=16749

As far as I can tell, they're the same thing previously called EdenWorkshop; their facebook page even then was Double K, and the items on the site now are exactly the same as what was on EdenWorkshop Etsy; those wigs and the DollHouse items.

I haven't dealt with them and am not speaking for or against them but just wanted to link that relevant thread.

Not encouraging. I planned on ordering a single wig to check the quality / service before ordering more wigs. It's really hard to find wig makers that do anime style wigs in the first place. I know there is one person here who does beautiful looking classic doll wigs, but I've been sort of reluctant to approach them about anime style wigs.

What kind of clothes are you looking for? My girlfriend sews quite a bit and might be interested in taking commissions, she also does all our own face-ups too (painting the dolls faces). We tried to make resin eyes but our process still needs some fine-tuning.

Just about anything SD16 girl works, also I have had success with clothes from Iplehouse for their SID line they do fit. I got a sexy zipper dress from them and it fit my DDY with the shapely bust like a glove.
