Smart Doll Boy vrs Custom Smart Doll Boy

Recommended Posts

PrinceWolfe

I'm trying to get an anime styled BJD boy, whether that be a custom Smart Doll Girl with the Extra Small Bust or Using Eiji. I was wondering if anyone had pictures that could show like a comparison on the differences? I know the girl bodies are slimmer, but it would be a good way to have a feminine boy. How good does a Smart Doll girl look as a boy? I tried searching for pics but i couldn't find anything for Smart Doll or Volks.

It's probably never been done often because, well, one, Danny Choo doesn't sell heads separately, and the head hole for the Smart Doll is far too small for the VOLKs body.

So far, I think this is the most well know male!Mirai there is around.

The best comparison you'll probably get is seeing a female body beside Eiji. It's a pretty major difference, I will mention that the female body does have better posing range, and clothing options. The problem I run in with Eiji is that his biceps and his thighs are quite sizable despite his narrow torso, which is problematic in both the departments I previously mentioned.

Thing is, every head you see can be made into either a female, or a male. So long as you have the will to make it happen, nothing is impossible. Dollfie Dream heads start of generally, as female, but there are loads of male DD's out there.

You want a pretty boy, the gals would make great candidates depending on what styling you want.

Most of my OC's are feminine so using a Smart Doll girl would work really well, Unfortunately Volks doesnt have a Standard boy body yet :/

Thank you so much for posting this! I've been toying with the idea of an Infinity on the boy body, but hadn't seen any other customs before. He looks very good!

The unfortunates of vinyl at the moment really is their lack of different boy bodies. There's always Obitsu but these days their bodies are getting harder to come by internationally...which is a problem considering my need to rebody Eiji Kai.

Alot of Dollfie Dream female-to-male hybrids are usually Obitsus, or very commonly the female DD body with an XS bust. The curves on the male body (at least for the Dollfie Dream Sisters) is increasingly similar to the female one so usually that can be passed off as a male body.

However the idea of using the Smart Doll girl body and downgrading it to an XS bust also works too, personally. They have legs for days! And sometimes the female body is a plus for their heeled feet...ya know, just incase the boys want to wear some fancy shoes . So long as they aren't really wearing anything hyper form fitting at the chest only, it'll work.

If it helps, Culture Japan DOES sell the Milk Skin boy body separately.

There is an option for both the macho version and the slim version.

Vinyl brood at home: Len, Noah, Kenji, Rinto, Kiri, Eiji, Anais, Rin, ‘Red’, Lenka, Kai, Midoriya, Marc, ‘Sue’, Terra, Night, Frankie, Anna and Chitose.

Thanks! That does help actually but the only problem would be getting a head that would fit onto the body

Smart Doll would be the best bet, the girls body isnt as thick, it's pretty slim too and i know they can fit into a lot more of SD13 sized clothing then a DD does. The XS Bust doesnt have headlights either or at least in the pics they don't seem to.
