I'm very fond of the Women's Maid Set without the apron.

I'd probably be willing to buy the apron off of you.

You always find a lot more clothing to spend money on than I do...not that I need there to be given how much older stuff I've gotten from Mandarake. I can buy who knows how many more girls without needing any additional clothing now.

As previously mentioned, I would definitely be tempted to pick up another Azurite Pretty and Elegant.

I definitely like that SD16 Dress (Eclair Bustle Dress) in the Pink Label collection. I also like that beige coat. The blue dress and coat are nice, but it's the bustle dress that I can already see Sabrina and Cynthia in. They'll have to engage in Mortal Kombat over it.

The Leather Riders Jacket set in the Black Label section only appeals to me because of that jacket. Cynthia needs it.

In the White Rose Collection, the Classical Maid Set looks nice. I'm very fond of the Women's Maid Set without the apron. I think I'll definitely get the latter. Not sure about the former.

It's extremely unusual for there to not be anything in Shoes Boutique that strikes my fancy. The only thing this time are the SB-SD-224 boots. Those go obviously with the White Rose and even potentially the Pink Label options I'm interested in. However, I already have a couple of suitable choices there in Amber's shoe hoard without having to buy these.

If I knew I was getting a DDP I like the SB-MSD-180 but otherwise didn't find the shoe styles this time appealing. Iori tempts me but I'm not sure how high she is on the priority list compared to others so I may never get around to her. There's so little clothing for her though I feel like I should collect stuff, and looking at the shoes listed in the voting, so many of the MDD/DDP sized shoes are things that are obviously styles for little girls rather than more stylish or mature looking.

I like that leather jacket too, but the rest of that outfit is not interesting and I don't like distressed jeans, and prefer my jeans from TTYA anyway. Knowing the jacket will likely deteriorate in a few years makes this too expensive to buy just for it. It's probably a stainer too unfortunately.

That Women's Maid Set is pretty as a dress and I agree it's far more interesting without the apron. All of the stuff this round though is just a style that isn't to my taste or what I envision as my girls' styles; it all looks "old." I envision ladies wearing these outfits around the town and saloon in an episode of Gunsmoke.

Also all of the skirts are far too long

I am absolutely IN LOVE with the maid sets! ...but am very concerned about long-sleeved dresses when the colors are so dark

also everything in Pink Label too. Long skirts with endless ruffles has my name written all over it! Am a lil sad the cream/brown set is L-bust. but the blue and white Miluteille Ribbon Dress is just as darling

The Lady Oscar dress is nice, but they've priced me out of that one. Are the accessories actual gold with miniature diamonds or something?

I think I'm going to have to skip dupes of the Azurite sets. I think I'm in for the Eclair set and that one brown maid set. More iffy are the coat and court shoes they show with the Eclair set, and that leather jacket set.

A bit OT I guess but thought it was worth posting--at Dolpa 40 Volks had a display with Lady Oscar on a horse (see 2nd pic):

No idea where one gets a 1/3 horse, or how expensive that would be.

I think these have been up a while, but here are the Dolpa pages for the different outfit categories...there is still nothing on the webstore:

Designers Collection: https://www.volks.co.jp/dolpa40/sumika_dc/

LPC Black Label: https://www.volks.co.jp/dolpa40/sumika_lpb/

White Rose Collection: https://www.volks.co.jp/dolpa40/sumika_wrc/

Tenshi no Koromo: https://www.volks.co.jp/dolpa40/sumika_tnk/

Shoes Boutique: https://www.volks.co.jp/dolpa40/sumika_sb/

I think the only thing I'm interested in is that black suede hat. It's hard to judge what it will look like on DD though since they only show it on Lady Oscar who is not only a SD but has that big hair with all the curls.

The overalls for the MDD, and pink shoes, and then one or two of the maid outfits. The rest does nothing for me.

Those SB-MSD-179 pink sneakers and the SB-MSD-180 wingtip shoes...I need to decide if I'm ever getting a DDP as those shoes could then be useful to me.

I was considering Yayoi but there's so few clothes and since they're mostly clothes intended for MDD they're not styles I want which kind of put a damper on my desire for a DDP.

In case anyone was wondering what the mini pink label dresses are like on MDD as supposed to SDM, I saw some pics on twitter.

You're so evil. Illya needs that purple one now, and it wasn't even on my radar.

The dresses the dresses the dresses SO CUTE!!!!

That white dress! The frilly maids! The western ones coming out in a few days are to die for! I knew I got a work study for a reason....I mean what...

Unpopular Opinion: The sailor moon DDs are really cute but I feel it's been so exhausted recently. There's been so many figures, garage kits, merch etc. etc..... It's tiring me out.

Oscar is as gorgeous as ever. She looks so handsome in that hoodie set in particular! She's way out of my price range, though, and I think the majority of her appeal comes from her overall aesthetic, rather than anything intrinsic to her sculpt. I just have a huge weakness for pretty butch girls.

On the topic of pretty butch girls, I'd love to get the azure blue MSD boy set for Saber, but I just don't feel like I can afford Volks's prices...

I have the worst luck, but still entered for the Myrtille Ribbon Dress. I hope everyone who enters gets what they want!(・∀・)/

I don't think there's much danger this time around of entering for something and not winning. After all, most of the items are still available on Volks JP.

I entered for way more than I should have.

I had to really limit myself to what I went for. The only real must have is the pink MDD shoes.

Can anyone translate these?

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

I can't help you translate but if you need help figuring out how to do that hairstyle, I can definitely help you with that! I think it looks pretty easy though so maybe that's not what you're asking about LOL It's just a basic twist bun, I think the arrows in the third photo are to indicate that you'd push the bun upward, and push the bobby pin downward at the same time to ensure that it doesn't fall out and to make sure the bun is sitting higher, thus giving that 'hair crown' look in the finished photo- any curled ends that are poking out around the crown would be gently tucked into the front of the bun (in a downward motion) to give the effect in the finished look and push bobby pins in around to hold the ends in. Pull the bun apart a little bit if it's too compact, viola'!

I'd personally recommend making a (very) loose ponytail before starting as well, I find that twist buns tend to unravel fairly easily.

Thank you, and yeah how to the do the hairstyle is a part of it. The first card was on top of the dress, and I am pretty sure it's care and handling instructions. I'm really worried about ruining it by doing something clueless.

The second is definitely about how to do her hair. I'm hopeless with doll wigs, and I don't even know what a twist bun is XD.

I edited to add some more instructions, I know doll hair can seem a bit tricky but it's mostly a matter of going with the curl pattern of her hair, so you'll twist in the direction it naturally goes in which should prevent the ends from popping upward lol.

A twist bun is just that- twisting the hair around into a donut shape, tucking the ends underneath and fastening them down with teeny bobby pins so they don't pop out! It's basically this, but without the rubber band and with a looser twist rather than a super tight one (and higher up ofc)

Thank you, I think that does help. I'm going to have to to see the wig once Oscar arrives before I really know for sure.

Volks did include a hairpin with the dress.

I have a hard time with curly wigs in particular. Trying to keep the curls neat and tight is difficult.

If you don't need help with the hair part anymore I can at least do this for you. (the hair part does mention needing teeny bobby pins though, dunno if volks included those as well besides the hairpin you mentioned?)

It's just some pointers to help take care of the outfit. It's saying that the fabric necessary to create the draping is prone to wrinkling, so there are times when you may need to iron it, and these are the points you should keep in mind when doing so:

1) It's recommended to iron it from the reverse side, so that it doesnt chafe or get discoloured.

2) Use some kind of guard (such as a clean piece of fabric) between the iron and the dress (maybe also the iron and the board if you're doing it from the reverse side?) to prevent the iron dirtying/chafing it.

3) Make sure the temperature is 80 to 120 celcius, as high temperatures could melt the fabric.

4)Take care not to undo the threads in the embroidery, since its fairly elaborate.
