If you don't need help with the hair part anymore I can at least do this for you. (the hair part does mention needing teeny bobby pins though, dunno if volks included those as well besides the hairpin you mentioned?)

 

I will check for those. I didn't open any of the packets, I just inventoried the contents of the box to make sure it was all there.

So I won one of the Azurite sets through Volks USA. . .but can't figure out how to pay for it. >.< The email just says "login, the items on the screen are what you won". Great, except there's nothing on screen. I do see under profile I'm still in the user group for this item, but it's not a link or anything.

 

Did Volks have a derp and send out the email about the results before actually, you know, wiring up the results?

Well, the only thing I whiffed on was SB-SD-224 which I was honestly a bit surprised by. I thought if I would whiff on anything it would be the Rider Jacket Set.

 

The first lottery results email I got also pointed to the wrong event address. But I had already added my won items to cart.

 

If you've won clothing items, just log in, then click the dollfie outfits tab. Make sure you have the items sorted by Newest Items. Whatever you've won will be at the top of the list.

Yeah, they fixed it with the second email. I think on the first one, they hadn't synced the database or something.

I had to re-login for my winning item to show up, VolksUSA always logs me out.

 

I didn't win for the teddy bear purse Maybe a couple will be left after the lottery winners are mailed out? Ah well

I got all 4 things I put in for. Still being on the poorer side I had to limit it to just a classic maid outfit and some socks and shoes for my MDDs. But I must say that's the nicest lottery winning email I've ever gotten. All the past ones have been plain text. I guess they upgraded which is nice, I like how it told me what I won.

 

Ok so Oscar's shoes aren't quite right for this outfit, but until I get the flat feet and some mens dress shoes I only had heels as an option.

 

Wow that suit looks like it fits great.

Since it appears it's really intended for SD13B (though also compatible with SD16 and DDdy) I didn't know what to expect but it looks really nice on Oscar.

There is a sizable gap at the waist. I stuffed some compact flash cards in the back of the waist band to pull it tight for this.

 

But with the vest on you can't even see the gap.

 

 

Well that's unfortunate but it still looks nice, and the fit of the jacket seems really good.

OTOH if the waist is that loose here I can imagine what it must be like on DDdy. At one time I was trying to get the previous gray release of this suit and was going to make my Luka be DDdy just so she could wear it. You pointed out back then it wasn't likely to actually fit very well, and now I'm sure it wouldn't have, plus I didn't really want to use that body for her anyway.

While your two Sailor Moon dolls are shorter because they're DDS, it's still a good comparison in your picture just how much larger in most every dimension SD16 is compared to DD.

With the exception that she is a S bust SD16.

Good point, and something I'm a little curious about. Proportionally the bust is presumably smaller than DD, but in actual measurement given how the torso is larger I wonder if it is?

We know that Volks often rates SD16 (girl) clothing as compatible with DDdy. The larger DDdy waist still isn't large enough to really fit SD16 clothing, but I've always assumed this compatibility is based on bust circumference. Even though the regular SD16 bust is nowhere near as large proportionally as the DDdy, I assume that the circumference of the torso in the bust area must be similar so that the "body volume" (I don't know what else to call it) still fills out the outfits fairly well.

Since I don't own a DDdy or an SD16, that's just my assumptions but seems to match what limited measurements I've been able to find on the various bodies.

I think the SD 16 S bust is somewhere around DD-M in terms of cup size, but it's close enough to the regular SD16 I think most outfits will fit pretty well. I suspect DD sized outfits won't fit an SD16-S for the exact reason you stated.

I'm going to need to try some stuff on her.
