Volks USA Special Holiday Event 2018

I wonder if they have any other surprises in store for us.

 

This morning there's a graphic on the page about a D'Coord lottery.

 

Oh, that's awesome. I'm sure lots of people would like to get one of those girls.

Every year Volks Japan sends their leftover stock to Volks USA for the conventions, etc. That's why they sell out in the past and suddenly reappear for events. The in store (sumika) stock in the various shops throughout Japan is eventually collected by the parent branch and sent to Volks USA every year- with a couple of exception of special dolls (like Sasara, etc) who are set aside to make the event extra special. I think people have already said as much as this?

 

Unless we know of someone who actually bought a Kos-Mos or Momo at the event then it could be possible they reused an older graphic and just crossed those dolls out as they didn't have any stock? It's possible, right?

 

 

Luckily I was able to snag a Kirito but I just want the head... I guess i'll put a feeler up for the body once i have it in hand. Congrats to everyone else who was able to welcome some dolls and goodies!

 

The D'coord event is also super exciting- good luck to everyone entering~

I'm actually far more curious about the D'Coord event, but honestly speaking I may still just try for Lady Oscar so like....couldn't afford that too.

I only snagged the 1/3 Pink Frilly Bloomers for myself, as I have other orders this month, but was able to snag some bodysuits for a friend and shipping was so cheap that way!

 

The D'Coord is going to make me so tempted, depending on the models. Not like i have the cash, but ugh, temptation....

You might want to keep checking back. They seem to have added more stock on some dolls, so maybe she will pop up again.

Snow Miku is available again for anyone interested. Also, looks like Daughter of Evil came back in stock somewhere along the way.

 

The Snow Miku that got invited to my place is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Still waiting for my Usagi to ship. Starting to worry she’s on a slow boat from Japan.

Oh, I missed that. Bri is great. I didn't realize because she is shown with that purple wig, which I've noticed Volks using a lot on the tan skin but I think it's a terrible combination. Blonde California Girl look like Bri works a lot better.

None are OMG calling to me, though I like #7 (DDP DDH-11) the best. I do hope this becomes a more regular thing!

I'm more interested in the wigs than the dolls. Although, I will admit I like #4 and her "I'm going to harm you" expression. I also like #5 and #8, but that's because of their wigs. Why can't Volks just sell that style and colors in their webshop?

I also wish that they offered all the wig and color combos for sale (Eyes too.). I'd always be buying Volks wigs if that was the case as our DDs just thrive with anime colored hair. I'd get a complete set, ponytail, long, and twin tails of the colors. We know Miku looks great with long hair and a high ponytail. But I do want a girl with those options for the white/light gray they offer, as well as purple and blue hair sometime.

Mandarake has sold D'Coords fairly often with that particular DDH-07 faceup like #4 so if you're interested in her you can probably get one eventually. I was watching one they had for a long time a while back.

Heh. Maybe it's Volks' usual photography or just my taste, but I feel that the purple and white or gray wigs along with the eyes in similar colors accentuate the tan skin in a particular way where I don't find it attractive and it reminds me of those fake "spray on" tans that were popular some years ago.

 

I like that skin tone a lot better with the yellow or blonde wigs.

Her eyes aren't quite as purple as the sun was making them out to be. They're mostly grey. Like in these pictures before she got a wig change:

 

The tan is amazing, I recommend it to anyone who is interested in it.

I don't have a problem with the desire part, just have zero monies. It's those pesky monies that are keeping me from growing my family by adopting all those poor girls that need a daddy.

I was sad that out of 8 girls that only one was tan~ I was hoping to see at least 2-3. While the DDH-09's face-up is nice it is also the same face-up (or very similar) as the one that a local friend of mine won during Dolls Party LA 2017. Gonna hold out for a tan girl that calls to me, but good luck to everyone who puts in for these lovely D'COORD girls. I am still glad that they are offering these D'COORD girls to everyone for the holiday season

I fear the balance will fall to the dark side when they release Jupiter, and Billy gets her a Peach Pai.

We've known for a while Jupiter has um... the most talent.

My Serena has been happily sporting a S bust for s while now. I will admit it is almost too flat, but the M bust is just too big. They need one between S and M. Still haven't decided if I'm going to upgrade my Miku to S from SS, but with Volks changing over to the new body I may never get the chance. Also means my Saber Alter won't get more then the sword holding hands she has...
