problems to remove all...

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone ^^

I have a question about removing faceups ^^" ...

I use MCS to protect a blank head...

Than i paint with acryl colors and finish work with MSC too...

And weeks ago when i want to remove a faceup, the color affront the vinyl ... Its non removable, only with sanding paper and a lot of sun -.-

Why doese this happen?

Didnt i use enough MCS? (But i spray more than 3-4 seconds...)

Or must i protect with more than one layer? (so one layer, dry, layer again, dry and again?)

Do i use wrong colors?

Whats the problem?

And how about you?

Did you ever remove a faceup and make a new one? And do you ever had such a problem?

Oo dont know whats your problem is. I dont want any kisses on my butt, thanks...

But is it a problem to tell thats not the help i searched?

I know materials to remove faceups and i know to protect the face befor painting, but all this knowing doesent help for that problem that i have. Because the color is in the viny after month... And i wanted to know if someone had the same problem befor...

If this question and my kind of asking is to stupid than feel free too ignore?

Dont know why you are so harsh on you second post and whats your problem was?!? Oo"

Best regards...

@mitsuki: maybe the red is the problem ... Or brown colors ( i dont use red, but a lot brown colors) ... But would be happy to hear other faceup artists too how they work with there faceup removing, and doese they have problems ... =^.^= ... But thanks for your experience -^.^- and for the link ...

Ok......

I have cleaned my custom head several times. The only time i had a problem is when i used Tamiya Clear Red Acrylic paint on the lips. When i didn't like the result i decided to clean it off. However using isopropyl alcohol, acrylic paint thinner or Mr Tool Cleaner couldn't remove it all as some of the red pigment had seeped into the vinyl. Even Oxy10 treatment didn't work. The only thing that worked was RemoveZit. Also i stay clear of using clear color paints and stick with opaque ones.

Hmm maybe the red pigments are really the problem ...

But now i am a little confused... In brown there are light red pigments too, but i saw so much faceups with not dark black eyebrowns, so they must use brown or not? Oo ... Maybe i should try another brown...

And the remove zit seems to be a good thing? I heared so much about it. But i've never used it because i never found a shop which ship to germany too >.< ... Maybe i find here the right informations now *search* ...

I painted two heads with Gameswork shop acrylics and even though I did use several layers of MSC, when I removed the face-up with isopropyl alcohol it left bright orange stains in vinyl where I had used reddish brown paint. Red paint did not stain. Normal skin head is almost ok after two weaks of Remove-Zit treatment but I fear the white skin one is beyond salvation

I'm trying to find Liquitex acrylics for next face-up because someone here recommended them as non-staining.
