Good Smile Company's Harmonia Bloom 1/6 Dolls

oberon arrived today and he’s adorable, but his accessories have been a pain! i’ll put them back on when i figure out where to place him/ get more familiar with the harmonia joints. for now i put him on the couch haha 

for the most part his outfit was easy to put on and he is ready for winter. his shoes are a little roomy so they were easy to put on but slid off when i went to move him to the shelf. the other trouble i had was with his belt since it’s a generous fit. maybe there’s room to adjust it, but i didn’t want to mess with it too much at the moment. 
 

edit: once the leg warmers are fully pulled over the shoes they fit more securely! the belt is still pretty loose but fits better if the tassels are crisscrossed for some reason?
 

anyway, i’m excited to know y’alls thoughts and see pics when he arrives!

Mine is still en route to me but I saw people in the JP community talking about this. One of them said they wrap some tissue around his feet. Meanwhile the clothing designer Rico said she puts double sided tape inside the shoes.

I should probably do that too - with his first ascension shoes too as they also fall off sometimes.

I'm currently waiting on a Harmonia Humming body through taobao. I managed to get a Humming Cocoa head for 15 dollars on mercari! Really excited to see the scale and what clothes they can fit in. My instincts say Rainbow High clothes might work?

Your instinct seems spot-on. Here's someone who ordered LoL OMG clothes for their Humming Miku. They mentioned that the OMG hips are a bit wider, so Rainbow High / Barbie might be slightly large, but should be fudgable based on that fit. Congratulations on the steal of a deal! Was Cocoa painted? Are you planning to custom paint them?

If they were blank I would paint them myself, but she actually came with her faceup, and it's so cute I'm going to keep it! I have some Rainbow High and Barbie clothes somewhere around here, so once the body arrived I'll try them on and report back.

I got my 2nd Oberon the other day! He got badly delayed in the post (almost thought he’d been lost, which was scary), and, disappointingly, mine was missing the tights from his fullset, but I’m glad he’s here. Also glad that the part he was missing is the easiest to substitute - I’ve contacted amiami about it but in the mean time he is just wearing the Harmonia body suit I picked up when I was in Japan last month - the tights don’t look exactly the same but it’s close enough, and his fluffy boots do make them less visible anyway.

I actually didn’t have the problem with the boots falling off (although the boot covers are pulled over nice and tight), the only real headache I had was with his belt. The clasp comes undone easily, and it also likes to flip over on itself (and when I try to turn the flipped part, it usually comes undone). 
I think this one’s wig is only very slightly shorter than the first one, though.

Today GSC were at Idoll, they announced a cute new seasonal girl for Christmas (Charlotte, who was an Easter bunny before) and the Christmas site opens tomorrow. Not sure what else to expect on the site, but the butterfly on the image might be for the cancelled order lottery they said they’d do for the 1st ascension Oberons. But all 3 logos are there (Bloom, Humming and Near).
(I was also hoping they’d show the Vortigern set today, but they didn’t.)

Anyone following the Christmas 2024 announcements?

What we got so far:

• New accessories
• doll rereleases in new clothes
• New style boy body
• Illustration of upcoming Bloom doll Anemone by artist Mokaffe
• Humming Bungo Stray Dogs Teen Dazai and Chuuya dolls (guess the new boy body is for these releases).

The christmas advent calendar has been exciting! The Christmas livestream was fun too. Today they also showed Oberon Vortigern’s ‘Extra Set’ which I’ve been so curious about the meaning of since it was announced. 
I’m glad he does come with a head after all.

The Extra set literally comes with everything in the photo, including the stand!…except a body, which is a bizarre way to release him (although preferable to only being an outfit set).  Although, there will be the option to order him as a fullset doll via Dollybird/HobbyJapan so amiami may get that option too? I guess the extra set version would only be via GSC then.

The next collab was also announced - Black Butler, showing Sebastian’s prototype already done.

The Christmas announcement turned out to be a collab with lolita fashion model Aoki Misako! There was a video posted of her announcing it personally on both twitter and Instagram.

She’s previously had a collab with Puyoodoll Kumako which was really cute too.
