CrazyDollPerson Posted December 14, 2018 I didn't see a thread for these yet, does anyone else have Cu-Poche? I had a bunch and sold a lot of them, now I just have 7 of them. They are really cute, but I don't plan to buy more as the faces all kind of seem too similar to me. I also just got the Nendoroid doll Emily and not sure how I feel. I was thinking I would like these better than the Cu-Poche but I haven't really had time to fully compare the two. I posted this on the Nendoroid doll thread, but will copy it here as well because I am curious: I just got my first Nendoroid doll Emily. She is cute, but not sure how I feel about her. I preordered her and Alice. I don't know if I would buy more. I have Cu-Poche and thought I would like these better but the thing I like most is that all those extra face plates can be used on them...but I think I still prefer the Cu-Poche body. I will have to undress both and do like a side by side comparison of them to know for sure but I haven't had time. The one thing that seems off for me is the super tiny hands, either that the Cu-Poche hands are just so big I am used to that? Has anyone else gotten one of these yet? What is your opinion on them if you did? Especially if you have Cu-Poche...which do you prefer, and why?
Leiothrix Posted December 18, 2018 I have Emily on preorder, but haven't received her yet. I have a large pile of Nendoroids and two Cu-poche dolls. I generally like the Nendoroids better, but it also depends on the character. Plus, I don't need any more things to collect
mizya Posted December 18, 2018 I've got only three (regular) Nendoroids and one Cu-Poche, but I greatly prefer Cu-Poche to my nendos. The Cu-Poche that I have is Alice from the Friends series, so she's got a fabric dress instead of molded-on clothes, which I appreciate because I can change her clothes if I want to (I just need to get around to making her some clothes, lol). I think that the poseability of the Cu-Poche is really nice, although it bothers me a bit that her hands come off rather easily. But it's better compared to my nendos, because their limbs as a whole fall off constantly, so I never take them out of the showcase to play with. ^^; I also like Cu-Poche propotions better, their heads aren't quite as large as nendos' so they can stand on their own even without a stand. But I suppose I'm not that big of a fan of chibified characters to begin with, so that's why I've never been bitten by the nendo bug. They are cute, but... not very practical. I've got no personal experience of the Nendoroid dolls, but I don't really like their body propotions from what I've seen in photos. The torso seems somehow too long and the tiny hands paired with the big head doesn't look good to me. The regular nendos' more chibified body propotions go better with the big head. But something about the Nendo dolls' bodies really throws me off. ^^; I doubt I'll end up getting one... I think that I'd much rather get a Obitsu 11cm body for a nendo head if I wanted to get a more poseable body and be able to change the clothes. Nendo heads on Obitsu 11cm bodies look really cute to me. :3 I'll share an older photo of my Cu-Poche Alice: I got her the twintail set with additional faceplates, too, I'll have to take more photos of her at some point with her new hair. xD I'm not really big on the whole Alice in Wonderland theme because I see it so much in BJD (and Pullip) releases and I've gotten rather bored of it, but her face was too cute for me to pass up. I also had the Red Riding Hood (which is more my kind of a theme) Cu-Poche briefly but unfortunately her face wasn't as cute in person as it was in the promo photos, so I sold her pretty much right away. I'm really picky about my figures' faces, ahah... Cauldroness Posted December 18, 2018 I've always been intrigued by the cu-poche dolls but have avoided getting any -- I really don't need another thing to collect. They look really cute, though! I'm really picky about my figures' faces, ahah... I love the Chibi figures so the Nendo's tend to be my favorites, and I just find the overall quality with them is top notch. But I usually just put them in a pose I like and they stay that way. The Cu-Poche I like best are the friends, and so far I have all of them up to Dino. The ones I sold mainly had the molded on clothes and their parts came off rather too easily and it drove me nuts. I do have one where her foot refuses to stay on if I even move her in the slightest. I feel the faces aren't as expressive as the Nendos though. I don't plan to buy more, as I am pretty content with the ones I have. I had both the regular Alice and the Noir Alice and sold them, but I love Red Riding Hood. I think it is great we all have different preferences! I don't think I will be buying any more of the Nendo dolls though. I am very meh about Emily, and if I hadn't already put Alice on preorder I would not have bought a second of these. The dinky hands seem way out of proportion for a doll this size. I thought I would like the body better as it doesn't fall apart as easily as the Cu-Poche but so far the ONLY thing I like about these is that I can use all those extra face plates I have. I have debated on selling all the extra faceplates I don't use/want but am too lazy lol. I really don't need any new things to collect and keep saying I am going to downsize all the figures I have, but I just don't get around to it.
moerunamida Posted January 3, 2021 For a couple years, I debated back and forth getting Anne and always backed out in the end thinking that she wouldn't be as fun as 1/3 dolls. Well I caved last year and I was so wrong. In some ways, they are more fun because of their size and the photo opportunities. Anne was quickly followed by two others (both friends). I'd like to get Belle eventually. I don't have any Nendos. They look cute, but I don't have the room to display them and they really aren't a rabbit hole I want to go down (might make an exception for Kimetsu no Yaiba ones down the road).
