Do your girls stay dressed

When I am done doing photography with my girl and is ready to be stored away, I dress her in white clothes or in her white dress slip. Then put her back in her box.

I try to keep my dolls in white (or at least light) clothes, putting on the dark ones for photography only.

My doll stays dressed, and not always in light clothes. I don't like having her undressed, and some of the outfits that I think are nicest on her are not light. I do worry about staining, but I like having her dressed cutely, so I am cautious but not extremely strict about keeping her undressed or in white.

I'm the same exact way with my girls too. I would never leave them undressed or in just white. I like to keep them in their outfits and I try not to let dark colors hold me back. I either use a body stocking on them or I find a way to tweak the outfit so the dark part won't stain.

 

I enjoy seeing them too much in their cute, stylish outfits. Plus it is so much work dressing and undressing them. I would much rather keep them dressed until I am ready for them to try a new outfit.

I only have the one doll, so it doesn't really take me very long to change her outfit, but I can certainly imagine that it must take you a while to get all of your dolls arranged, particularly because you are so careful about their styles!

 

For me, even though it isn't much trouble to do so, I find myself thinking that it's a shame that I bought whatever the outfit is if she can't even wear it--that's why I don't keep her undressed or in one specific non-stain-able outfit.

When l'm not taking pictures of them they stay in there bodysuits.

To remove stains, you can try using Oxy 10 (anti-acne/pimple mediation) which contains 10% Benzoyl Peroxide which helps to remove stains.

About the vinegar treatment, I use one part water and one part clear vinegar and soak them for at least 5 hours, for best results I leave them over night. Then in the morning I wash them with the tiniest amount of detergent in warm water and then rinse under a cold tap until the water runs clear. Then I just put it somewhere to dry either flat or if it's a larger article of clothing I'll hang it up.

 

If I'm really paranoid that something will stain I'll repeat the process over again (not the drying part obviously)

 

This has worked for pretty much everything I've tried it on except for certain elastic threads that can be found in panties and fishnet stockings (I treated fishnet stockings twice and they still managed to completely stain the legs and feet through a body stocking >_<)

I leave my girls dress in their full clothes until the weather changes or they need a new look. My MDD is older and a few stains so I am not too worried about her staining while my DD is more new so I leave her in a body stocking all the time and never usually put her in black/dark clothing.

I usually leave my Mali in her body stocking from cool cat but I felt like she looked like a extra terrestrial trapped in a testing facility so I made her clothes and she will spend the weekend in them to see how things go. I love the body stocking but it turns her into a robot and limits movement greatly. I make her clothes so I used materials I have washed or thrifted baby clothes (easier to resize and understand how clothes for little people work) and I give them a good washing, things like baby clothes are washed frequently already, so am not afraid of her being dyed.

I keep my girls fully clothed in light to medium colors only. I put a body stocking on any girl wearing clothing that has parts that may stain. I do have a couple darker outfits from Nightwalker that have been lined and have had no issues with them staining wise. Just wish Volks would do that more often with their darker outfits...

All of mine are fully clothed, including undies/lingerie, stockings and shoes all the time. The only exception are the few that are in the fancy lingerie ensembles from CoolCat and those sets are too pretty to cover up. So those girls are our Victoria's Secret models.

 

Each girl usually has a plushie, purse or other yummy to hold as well. I think all have at least one piece of jewelry. I try to keep it even so no one is jealous.

 

I will also add that if anyone is in dark clothing, they are fully protected with a bodystocking. I don't take chances with dark fabrics. I think good bodystockings are totally worth the investment.

My girl lays about the house in her TnK pink striped underwear set and socks. It's super cute and she looks comfy. I already washed and it's pink on white it so the staining should be minimal. I check her every day but no sign yet. She also has a blond wig and a white silicon cap. Again, no sign of staining yet.

I keep my lady in clothes I know won't stain or are lightly colored. I always like to have her dressed in something other than her underwear <<;;;

Im so uptight about staining my girls have white dresses or lined clothes..They have other darker outfits but only wear them for hours..I make my own cloth headcaps so they are normally wigged..They have been known to sit around naked or without wigs because of my staining fears..I like how they look without wigs, they look cute to me..Also some stay in their boxes a lot..

My girls stay clothed! I have one very old body I use for stain testing and so far I only have two outfits that stain, so I'm just careful with those.

I do keep my girl dress but only in light clothes and if there is dark colour involved I.e. the indder of the shoes tends to be dark I tend to get her to wear body stocking and a pair of shoes before I put the boots on. I am a bit worry that it will stain their body.

My girls are nearly always in some various form of dress or another. Saber tends to run around in her underwear though. I'm not worried too much about staining. Most of their clothes are white/light colored or white-lined so it's not much of an issue.
