Do your girls stay dressed

Yes, Suzie does stay dressed, but I make sure that it won't stain her.

Yuriko stays dressed, mostly because I'd be too embarrassed otherwise. She always wears the Volks blue shimapan and bra, and I haven't noticed any staining, and whatever clothes SK or I have most recently made her.

I somehow missed this topic the first time round.

What you guys see my girls in is what they're in for however long I leave them that way. If my girls are in dark outfits they wear body stockings, and for those that are in light coloured outfits I usually leave them without body stockings. Most of my girls are completely mark free, some get random spots that I can never figure out but honestly, I spend so much money on them, I'm going to enjoy them! But in the same breath, a badly stained doll looks like she's not well cared for - which is why I've invested in several different types and colours of body stocking.

Body stockings are just a good investment and a good way to go. If you spend the money to get the good body stockings then you won't have to be too worried about anything happening Because we all know the dark clothing is usually used in the cutest outfits right?

A good bodystocking is worth every penny. I bought one from Coolcat specifically so that Saber Lily could wear her super cute (and super evil stain monster!) maid outfit set.

 

I layered the bodysuit inside the dress and put them on at the same time, so at no point did any of the black fabric come in contact with her body. I ended up keeping her in the outfit for 3 days before changing her out of it and there wasn't a spot on her!

Oh btw I heard people washing the clothes first then letting it dry so some excess fabric colors won't stain the doll. Also some says that using vinegar with the clothes lessen the chance on getting stains?

Mine stay dressed 99% of the time. This is mostly because my bf will complain if I leave them undressed for any period of time LOL Otherwise, they probably would be naked on their stands from time to time. He's the decency police around here.

They are mostly all dressed in things I've made for them, too. Since I line everything in white fabric, I know they are safe from stains and don't usually use body stockings. On the rare occasion I have them in something that might stain, I use one, but most of them are dressed without one (and without shoes for that matter because I haven't yet won the lotto LOL) I'm very phobic of dark materials and staining so I can understand why people would leave them undressed when they aren't going to meets or taking photos.

AiReyes, Volks I believe also sells body stockings, but people have mentioned to me that they can still stain. Coolcats are the absolute best and if you go to their site they have so many different styles, cuts, colour and fits that it might explode your brain

my girl stay dressed all the time plus i changed her outfit and hairstyles every 2 or 3 days, i wanna make her a model with versatile,, lol XD, to be honest i dare not to see her undressed or wearing mismatched outfit..

I would say my girls are almost always dressed. So much so that my first DD is quite heavily stained. Though it resembles a farmer's tan more than anything thankfully.

Yes, all my girls are fully dressed. But they wear only white when stored, usually old fashion underwear

I almost never let her go completely naked, even when I'm making clothes I like to cover her up wth some fabric in between fittings; for one thing, I feel embarrassed for her when she's naked, and for another thing, I don't want to hear any more comments about how huge her boobs are from passerby! XD;

 

Most of her clothes are light, and for the rest there's a body stocking! I also always pay attention to what she's sitting on, and what her hands are touching. Sometimes I even lay down a pillowcase for her to sit on like a picnic blanket.

My girls are usually always wearing at least their underwear. There are only a few reasons I would take that off and that would be if the outfit looks better without a bra or if I am putting on a body sock for the darker outfits since I only own two socks at the moment ^^;

The only time mine aren't dressed is when I'm changing that particular girl's clothes. With what's soon to be 17 girls, it may seem hard to keep them all clothed, but it really isn't.

 

That said, Mio's DDII body is pretty badly stained around the thighs, and the feet are pretty much blue now due to some bad luck with certain Volks outfits. I now keep Coolcat clear net white pantyhose on that body all the time. Haruka now has that body, since Mio stole her DDIIIDy one. ;p

How long do you keep it soaked? I have a pair of black Volks socks that stained my WS girl pretty badly, and I've washed them twice, but I don't trust them yet... want to try the vinegar trick!

The Volks stockings that came with the Akira's Kitty Magician set turned my Mio's original feet blue... She only wore those stockings for about 5 minutes... Those feet are still blue to this day although they are now Haruka's feet.
