February Outfit Collection 2019

Volks USA has announced their lottery for the February Outfit Collection:

I want the Fresh Tight Suit and the SB-SD-226 black pumps.

 

 

Looks like I'll be going for the cotton candy outfits, and the MDD nurse outfit, which will end up being a maid outfit.

I'm definitely going in for the DD White Angel Nurse, and I much prefer the SB-SD-225 white heels with the big ribbon instead of the sandals paired with the outfit photos.

I was tempted to go for the British navy blue suit set for Viktor, but yeesh. . . sticker shock a bit there. Probably just as well though; Viktor's suits in the show are usually either grey or black, and in fact there's a running joke among Yuri on Ice fans that Viktor must be afraid of color. 😅  Guess I'll be looking elsewhere for his suit(s).

Those struck me as a odd pairing with those outfits as well.  It's also fairly odd for shoes to be re-released so soon.  Maybe Volks just has tons of the nurse sandals laying around.

That is admittedly nice. There's some nice suits on Legend Doll too though, some of which you can get custom sized. I'll probably go that route to be honest.

I'll try for the Fresh Tight Suit; those black pumps were still in stock at Volks Japan and since I was ordering from them anyway I ordered those there. I didn't see anything else this time that appeals to me.

I went for both "tight suits" and the S/M bust version of the angel nurse.  

Right now I can't see my L and Dy girls wearing the angel nurse.  It seems like that look would more suit my less chesty girls.  Checking Volks JP, it looks like everything is still in stock, so I should be able to go back later and pick up the L/Dy version of Angel Nurse if the fancy strikes me.

Also, I'm predictably in for the black and the white heels.  I don't think there's any rush to get the nurse sandals.  Volks USA still has them in stock from the last time there were nurse outfits.

Remember those black heels for SD16 heeled feet from a couple of releases back, SB-SD16G-078?  When I got my SD16 I went ahead and got a pair.  Of course, that led to trying them on a DD.  They fit and look OK if the DD is wearing a bodysuit or some stockings.  They're a loose fit, but that's also true if they're on a SD16.

That's definitely what I did! Glad I'm not the only one. The sandals don't have much versatility in my opinion - I couldn't see that style of straps being worn casually.

I just looked because when I ordered the black shoes from Volks Japan about a week ago the two tight suits were out of stock, but I see they're back now, which now makes me wonder which site to get them from.

On instagram recently I saw a Rin Kagamine wearing the gray tight suit with what I think were these shoes. With those very sheer stockings I could see they appeared to fit how I expected them to, where you can tell they're too far too long with the toes exposed. With something more opaque I could see they'd likely be fine though.

I went for the dark blue British suit and overcoat for Lady Oscar. 

And I like those sandals, but not with a nurses outfit. That just seems like a bad idea...

I put in for the MMD nurse (To use as a maid outfit, minus the hat, wings, and arm band.), all 3 of the candy outfits, and both white shoes.  My wallet is going to hurt if I win it all.  Being jobless was better for the pocket book for sure...

I wish I would've seen those photos before entering for those shoes... I already got the dark gray suit dress off the international site, but missed the shoes. I bought third party heels for my doll, but I wanted the lower heel Volks ones.  Oh well, it does have darker tights, maybe it won't be so bad.

Just to clarify in case of any confusion, the shoes in those pictures are (I think) SB-SD16G-078, which are only stated to fit SD16 and SDGr, not DD:

The reason, unlike most of the SD16 shoes which do work with DD, is the opening here goes much further towards the pointed end so you can see that they're large on the DD feet.

 

The low heel pumps in this lottery shouldn't have the issue.

Banner on the Volks USA webstore states the February outfit collection will be available on April 8th, 11AM PST in a clickwar; I guess whatever was left from the lottery.

How do we know if we've won?  In the old days if you heard nothing within a week, then you didn't win anything.  Only if you got an email did you win something.  I haven't seen any emails so I'm guessing I didn't win the 2 items I put in for.

So they wouldn't have sent out the winning emails yet, but I guess you'll know before the clickwar starts.

They should be sending out the emails tomorrow or Saturday.  Once they start making the selections you can log into your account and go to your profile page and look for a "User Groups" tab.  Click on that and you can get a list of what you have won so far.  It gets updated as they go through out the items that were in the lottery.  Early this afternoon I had nothing there, but now I have 5 things.  I entered for 6, 4 outfits and 2 shoes.  My guess is if they are done I didn't get the shoes I really wanted (White with bow.), oh well.

Looks like I won all the items I went in for.

 

Hopefully Lady Oscar will look dashing in that men's suit.
