What's a good standard head to make a young DD boy

I've been thinking of making a little brother for Sonya, but im stumped on what head i should purchase. Can you give me any recommendations on what standard head would work well for a little brother DD?

Honestly, you could customize a DDH01 or I have a custom DDH08 that I'm making into a little boy. (Mine is modded though)

 

I think Liliru and DDH12 could easily work too! Just matters on what you want. You'll definitely need a custom face up to help though imo.

Honestly I think any head can work as a boy. It depends on how the faceup is done.

Since your Sonya is a 07 though, I personally think 09 would work well as it has always resembled a younger 7 to me. If you want him to have droopy eyes and a gentler look then 6 is good for that. Of course it depends on the age as well, 1 and 10 will look much younger.

EDIT: I recommend looking at the ‘dollfie dream style database’ here (in the ‘our dollfie dreams’ board) and going through the threads for the heads you are interesting in to see examples of them styled different ways which can give you some inspiration and maybe help you make a decision. You can also search the sculpt (DDH01-10) tag on Instagram or Flickr.

SisterKyoya here on the forums used an 03 to make an MDD boy, which could also work on DDP or a modified Obitsu 50cm.

 

Torino right above used I think an 09 for a teenage boy, though, and I'm definitely fond of that choice for a teen. In fact, I almost used an 09 myself for Yuuri before I decided to mod a Kirito instead.

 

For a super grumpy boy, the 02 could totally work though.

Mel’s actually a custom Len, not a 09. My only 09 is Bri, an adult woman (if gijinka can even be said to be adults, but that’s a different discussion) Unless you were thinking of noxxbunny, they have many cute boys But 09 would have been my choice of numbered heads for Mel and it seems to be the most popular one for teenage boys along with 7.

Oh man, my brain totally smush'd Mel and Bri lololol. That is a lovechild we should probably never speak of again. That said, Len and the 09 do have some similarity, especially in the lips, so I guess we know the best candidate if Mel ever gets a brother.
