Does the normal DD arms and shins fit DDY

I was wondering if the dd arms and shins fit ddy?

 

I was think of buying individual parts to finally own a dd, but I couldn't find if the arms and shins fit ddy, the model i want.

 

I don't want to spend the money all at once, because I don't have the money.

Yes that is correct; the only parts unique to the DDdy body are the bust, torso and thighs.

 

But be sure you buy the parts with the correct frame. If you are buying the newest version you need the "DD-f3" parts; otherwise you want DDdyIII and DDIII. The frames aren't intermixable.

That basically says DD and DDdy have in common the upper body frame, shin parts, arm parts, and feet parts.

One more bit to be aware of: the bust parts did not change, so you use the DDdyIII bust no matter which frame you use. The upper internal frame piece, which you buy separately, does need to be either the DDDIII or DD-f3 version to match the rest, and that part again is the same as for DD, and DDS in the case of this one part which is why the older version has a "DDS" part number.

 

I feel like the more I write the more confusing I may be making it. Let's try this...here are the parts to build a DDdy, both DDdyIII and DD-f3 version:

Bust - DDdyIII-B-01 or DDdyIII-B-02

Arms - DDIII-A-01

Thighs - DDdy Thighs F3

Well, they didn't give the new parts part numbers so it's still kinda confusing. The main thing to get is that the upper torso internal frame is the same for DD, DDdy, and DDS but different for the two frame types, and Volks' websites don't always list that part under each of the body types.
