The structure looks great, and I might suggest a general off topic dolls section in addition to the anime themed one. I for one do like postings photos of my SDs here on occasion, because lots of people here aren't on DoA.

Edit: One other note, why not combine Waiting Room & New Arrival into one area? The former inevitably turns into the latter anyways.

I’d like something like the sculpt database thing though cos it was really useful to be able to browse different heads and see so many different versions of it. Unless of course the profiles has a tag system so we can still browse sculpts.

I was thinking exactly the same thing except I never thought of tags to sort them. Being able to see what you can do with a sculpt is quite useful.

Where do doll profile and owner (doll family) threads go? I understand the draw for a profile for each doll, but I like the single thread I can put all my girls in, so if I want to see all millions of Billy's girls I can go to one thread.

I'm assuming it'll be like DoA where doll profiles (I keep mashing it up as dolliles in my head) are connected to the Owner's profile.

The structure in general looks good but as someone who is pretty much only interested in pictures of dollfies and actively avoids things like Smart Dolls it’s a little disappointing to see them all sharing the same photo forum. But I’m sure I’m a minority on that one.

 

Will the marketplace be divided somehow to make it easy to find DD items versus other brands? I’ve never bought or sold here yet but often browse there for things of interest.

This might be a dumb question, but will there be advertising banners like DOA?

 

Also I really like the idea of featuring a member's doll photo on the side or as the header like our forum does now, but obviously keep changing it up more frequently.

Ha ha ha! I do agree that having everyone with a family thread similar to the one I have now would make things easy to see and find. I definitely enjoy looking thru all the beautiful families we've got here!

 

As for a Patreon for my girls, don't give them any ideas! If Manami thinks she can get people to send her money for free, she'll be all over it. Cookies and beer all over the place!

Woah, I sure did pick a bit of a hectic time to come back to the forums after my mini-hiatus, didn't I?

 

I've only skimmed through this thread so far... I'll admit, I'm not one for change but everything is sounding promising so I'll keep optimistic about this and I'm sure what gets done will be great!

Love the design of the new site, I'm a little bit lost but it will be better in a few days :)

I'll admit, I was rather apprehensive over the thought of losing the old, familiar DD site.  However, this new site is AMAZING!  The menus make it much easier to navigate, the whole site just looks much sleeker (especially the eyeball saving dark theme), and I LOVE the directory and album.   Also, I almost never entered the old marketplace, as the layout was confusing to me, but the new version, with pics and prices right up front, is so much more inviting.  Thank you SO much for all the time and hard work you've obviously poured into this.  I do not regret becoming a patron one bit!
