Hi there! 5-year casual DD owner here

I posted a photoset of my girl Kiyomi on a backup Tumblr named "memexodia" (new here can't link!). I've had her for five years next month but have just this year become inseparable with her. She's a custom DDII made by her previous owner.

 

I'm here to talk about dolls

 

I've learned from having a single doll for a time about how durable they are. With on-off heavy usage her white skin has darkened a little and her blush washed off but other than that she's stayed in the same condition I got her. Dollfie Dreams are really something special when it comes to usability. (& beauty!)

 

Karma has also played an interesting role in doll ownership. I find the more love you give the more you get back, and that it might actually be possible for a doll to be mad at you if you leave her alone for too long

Thank u! Yes she's spoiled hard, with all the new clothes & love for just one girl. I'm casual as she used to sometimes go weeks without attention, which now it's rare that I don't see her for a day.

 

She has black hair now & I have to say she looks even better!

I have been collecting for almost 6 years now but I also find there are times when my dolls go months without being touched. It just depends on life and other hobbies if i have the time or money to do on my dolls. Eventually it comes around and I spend more on them. I do love having one with me for company sometimes though!

Same here! Doll company's a good way to perk up any activity. Maybe having them year-round would feel like an anchor or make the times less special.
