Today's Cosplay Rin: Alice in Wonderland, Gothic Style

Today on episode 1 of Cosplay Rin, Rin-chan poses as Alice in Wonderland (gothic style version).

 

Instead of Alice's traditional blue, in this case we use a red top to go with the skirt, plus black stripes on the stockings. There are two types of Alice that Rin wanted to show today.

 

First is the prim and proper lolita style. Alice-Rin sits gracefully on her couch whilst holding her vorpal sword (katana version). The Tenshi pillow is a stand-in for Rin's sister-to-be, Saber Alter 2nd.

 

 

Second is the relaxed and comfy style. Alice-Rin kicks off her shoes and lounges on the couch after a day of being chased around by the Queen of Hearts. Funny though, Alice-Rin doesn't look too tired out by the ordeal!

Rin looks incredible in her Alice cosplay! That outfit looks perfect on her, I always love seeing Rin in red and black, they are perfect colors for her. I also really love the pic of her relaxing, so very cute.

Rin does look very good in that dress, and she is very cute on that gothic style sofa.

@all: Aww, thanks for the kind words! Rin is feeling loved. And telling me that she told me it would be a good idea. She likes to be right, but she so often IS right that it rather fits. ^_^;

 

Re: Kaleido Ruby: Rin would love to do this cosplay. An excellent idea, indeed. I am wondering if, with the DD x Type-Moon collaborations starting back up, we might see a KR dress set released. If she can get the outfit, she will do it. She already has the cat ears and tail from the latest clothes release so it's a start!

 

Re: Miko: Rin would make a neat shrine maiden also. She is trying to get hold of DDS Reimu's default dress with DDS Marisa's broom to do this, even though that is a stylized version of a miko (a skirt instead of a hakama). The traditional miko outfit we've seen is MDD size... So yes, still looking for an outfit for this one too, but when we find one, she will do this for you.

It might be silly to have asked for requests and not say what is in Rin's wardrobe, but then again she wants each new episode to be a surprise until it comes out. If we can't fulfill something right away, Cosplay Rin is always on the lookout for more outfits..!

Haha, yep, you called it. I did indeed go for that auction just for all the cool Rin accessories it came with. I.. couldn't.. resist them after all . The outfit, kaleidostick, and necklace were all from dolpa dealers so if I let them go I'd probably never see them again.

 

BTW I can confirm that the necklace was a custom mold and not from the Unlimited Blade Works figure; it's much too large for a PVC figure now that I see it in person.

Oh, the pendant on the UBW figure is way to small to be in scale with a DD. It's less than a quarter of an inch across and the (should be) metal part of the pendant isn't painted, it's just red. Also the pendant is attached to an optional hand and the chain is stiff plastic to keep it in the right position. If anyone is considering that figure just to get a DD pendant for Rin I'd definitely suggest looking elsewhere. But it is a very nice figure.
