Volks Super Dollfies

Does anyone know what part this is for Lucia?

 

Tbh I lost the instruction paper (still looking for it) so I can’t read it. It’s hard to tell if it should be in he hair (has an dangle earring back with that half circle) or if it’s another shirt ornament. 
 

if I’m blind and/or someone else who got a Lucia knows or can tell what this thing is for, or where it goes, I’ll appreciate it. 

Mi have it hanging on the back of her neck cuff. It looks cute actually. Tbh she’s gorgeous.

 

I can’t wait ubtil the bonus hands and her flatfoot legs comes in. I may try her in a kimono. 
 

Here she is resting on her couch (lol I have others of her lounging lazily on it but I already posted them elsewhere).

 

(her outfit is so pricelessly gorgeous, and as @BeyondTime put it perfectly once, “Resin’s can absolutely take your breath away.”)

Yeah thank you so much. It sorta looks like it’s in her hair in mine, and it is very versatile because I think it looks good hanging off her cuff lol

and could even be hooked around to dangle on her front end of the corset part of her outfit. That would be cute. I’ll take a picture of it later if anyone needs to see the end of it, the jewelry. It’s cute and could easily be hooked anywhere in clothes almost. Especially easily with Volk’s super delicately sewn metal buttons and clips  

 

She is so gorgeous though I really can’t believe it. Whilst putting her together I kept gasping at how pretty it was. It was on video with someone and she was laughing at me quite hard. Lol. Guy gasping in excitement (hey we waited a long time for these and they were EXPENSIVE if you bought all the hands + colored hands + leg options. Like almost $700 more if you bought all options like I did (except the repeat hand -01 that it comes with, but also comes with when you buy the colored version. Don’t need two unpainted. Just means I have an extra pair of hands). Woulda been like $750 if you bought the repeat hands. She was about $1690 with all the extra parts and shipping. That’s a lot for a doll you buy direct from Volks. Her quality shows it in her SGDGr form. It’s perfect for posing because her outfit makes it harder to pose out of stiffness.

I need to learn how to restring resin dolls so I can use these leg options. I'm going through a move, so dollfie stuff is packed away for safe transport.

I completely took apart my SD16s recently, and it’s not as complex as I originally thought. The hard part will really be where to tie the cord for proper tension.

For those not on DOA. . . There has been a sighting of Ron and Hermione dolls at a Harry Potter pop-up event in Japan. Might get more details in coming days but it is very surprising.

I won the SD Victorique de Blois in the last Volks International one-off lottery! She finally arrived today after some DHL shenanigans

 

Her faceup is by Ciera and it's absolutely stunning.

She looks great!  In this outdoor pictures her eyes do look much more blue, compared to the purple hue in the restaurant shots.

Both the new SD girls will be up for lottery in the after event online for a week starting on the 20th, but I expect the win rate won’t be kind. Allegedly, they sold out at Dolpa within 4 minutes which is possibly a new record.  

Their item pages are on the online store right now, you just can’t enter until the 20th JST.

Entered for both Macha and Yumepi.  I hope I win one but but who knows. Winning both would put a dent on my Kaito fund. Not winning either one would be a sad thing though but means money for Kaito hehehe.

Any word yet? It's been a while since I entered a lottery so unsure how long it takes until you find out the results. I keep going to the website and it says preparing for shipment but not sure if that is just a thing they put on with every lottery entry.  Sort of scared and excited. 😂

On the product page it said the announcements would be from the 9th of September.  If the timing is right we should be able to enter the USA lottery too.

I missed that. 😢😂 Which is so me. Lol. I hope we win. Too many lotteries are bad for the heart. Lol. I sincerely hope when they do Kaito, that he is a pre-order. 

Just checked my Macha and Yumepi lottery entries. Macha has been cancelled but Yumepi is preparing shipment. I’m surprised I was able to win one of these girls I’m so excited! Good luck to everyone that entered the lotteries!

Some SD news from the latest Volk News:

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Rose of Versailles it looks like Marie herself is getting released, along with a new version of Lady Oscar, for December Dolpa this year.

Also, apparently there will be a preorder period for all the Disney dolls so far - it seems to be through the Japan Disney store and may be Japan-only but I’m sure a proxy could handle it.

They're also discontinuing the current SDM and SD10 standard models (Momo, Noa, Hina / Mai, Mel, Nico), they've been out of production since July. No word on the new ones/when they'll be unveiled, but I'd imagine it would be some time soon. (Interestingly, there's no mention of the DD standards who were released the same year as the current SD10 lineup...)

I hope the Disney dolls pre-order is not Japan early, those dolls are quite expensive to add a proxy fee on top of. I am excited for the opportunity though, I got Elsa and was thinking of either Repunzel or Anna as well eventually.
