Another From Anaheim!

Hello, my name is Amy and I've been in the ABJD fandom since 2007. I had to leave the fandom between 2013 and 2016 because of family issues, but I was able to obtain a DDS body in the winter of 2017, so I guess that means I'm back in?

Right now, I'm aiming to get a MDD body and a DDP body, but I'm not sure what I wanna do about getting heads for them atm. I'm so lukewarm about the available heads right now. I think I might actually wanna try making my own heads from scratch.

I was hoping that as long as I had doll bodies I could start sewing again, but it's been a pain to make the time to sit down and do it. Back before I left the hobby, I used to make my own custom patterns, but I lost all of them while I was moving from city to city, so I have to make them all over again. Hoping to get something ready before the next LA Dolpa. FINGERS CROSSED!

Arle, Youmu, Rin Kagamine, and Emilia are on my current wishlist. I've had to let go of a bunch of older DDs, I had been wishing for, for years, since I doubt I'll ever see them in the market place ever again.

I'm looking forward to making friends, especially locally. For as long as I've been in the fandom, I've never had many chances to meet with people in person. I've only been to two doll meets!

Hello! Welcome back to DDs! I am in and out of the hobby for several years, but I used to follow you on livejournal a while back I remember the username :). 

I love the DDP body, if you sew that will be nice since there aren’t too many clothes made just for that body yet~

What older DDs are you looking for? Sometimes those tend to pop up at good prices, for example back then I really wanted a DD Rin Tohsaka and I’ve seen her pop up at affordable prices on mandarake these days, so maybe you can find who you are looking for ^^. (PS there is a decent priced Arle on Y!J right now, I love her too she’s so cute.)

I will be at LA Dolpa too, hope to meet you there!

I think I remember seeing you on some of the really old topics on the old forums, but I definitely remember seeing the doll in your profile picture! Such a lovely girl, I fell in absolute love her with closed eye look and she's inspired a (currently postponed) modding project on my floating head! I hope to see more pictures of her if you still have her! And of course, I'd love to see any current and future cuties of yours too! 

@hihihellokitty - Awwww! I remember you too! Yes, I've been stalking for a good deal, but my timing is lousy. The old doll I've been wanting the most is Mashiro Mito. I've only seen her in the four-digit numbers second hand. I've pretty much just lost hope that I'll ever be able to afford her someday! Definitely looking forward to sewing for the DDP! Last time they were in stock at the beginning of the month, I turned around and then they were suddenly out of stock. Did you go to Dolpa LA 2017? My sister and I were there! We might have crossed paths!

@Daisy-chan - Yes, I still have her! I wanna get back into taking photos of her, but I'm still trying to get together a replacement for flickr. People are all on Instagram, but I haven't had the time to sit down and figure out how it works yet. I've heard you can upload to it, from desktop, using google chrome, but I haven't tried it. I can't wait to see your mod girl! Closed eyes dolls are so adorable!

As for my girl, you might be waiting a while to see her... Fortunately, there's tons of cute dollies here on the forum for you to look at to tide you over!

I'm sorry about your patterns, I would have been devastated. I'm sure they were not easy to make. I hope that you will have some time to make new patterns and sew again.

Ah yeah true I don’t see her that often, hope you will be able to get her sometime, Mashiro is such a cute sculpt 😊! Yeah it took me several months to get the DDP cause the timing is difficult haha, but luckily it’s just a waiting game since it’s a regular item. Aw I missed that one! I went to LA Dolpa in 2015 😁.

Oh hey ruby! Glad to hear your doing good these days and getting back into the doll hobby again. We used to chat alot. Sadly I just don't use doa much these days or flickr. I kinda moved to Instagram myself haha ^^; I remember the last time we chatted you were really in particular of a azone yui from happiness clover  and a standard dd mirai! Haha. 

I hope to see you at dolpa this year. It would be great to finally meet and hang out in person 😄 I was at the last dolpa but I didn't happen to see you. 

Mashiro Mito is one of my old grails. I have many old girls I want badly. Most recently rina ogata. 

I happen to have a emilia shes so great in person! Super reccomend adopting one if you can.
