I'm lildollface, or just dollface. I've been interested in dolls for a while. Although I started in 2013 with resin BJDs, I took a hiatus from dolls and have recently rejoined the hobby, while finding myself more and more interested in vinyl dolls 😃 I've had a custom DDH-01 floating head for quite some time and I am currently saving up for her body. I temporarily used a Smart Doll body, but I'm hoping to get a MDD or even a DDP body.  I'm hoping to make more friends! Pleased to meet you all! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It seems like a lot of people start with resin and then go to vinyl, although it was the opposite for me (...in a sense, because I had a floating resin head before any big vinyl doll...technically I started with azone pure neemos though) I think the 01 goes the best on a MDD body, although DDP is also cute. I also started with resin dolls but especially in the recent years, I've been doing more with my vinyl dolls as I'm not a fan of the trends that are currently reigning the resin side of the hobby. DDH-01 is one of the most versatile DD sculpts for sure, I'm always in awe how different it can look depending on the face up. ^^ Like @Monty I also feel that it's best suited for the MDD body, but DDP could work nicely too. It might also be that I'm biased because I have a huge MDD fever currently, haha. xD Anyway, I hope that you enjoy your time on the forum! For me, I was curious since Dollfie Dream and Obitsu dolls were grandfathered in at DoA, but then was confused when they wouldn't extend the same sort of grandfathering for Granado's Vindoll line. Coincidentally, I purchased an Azone Pure Neemo to be the doll of a 1/3 scale resin doll I own 😂 14 hours ago, mizya said: Hello and welcome! :3 It's nice that you've found your way back into the hobby! But after I experimented with a friend's Smartdoll body for laughs, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the head on taller bodies. As a result, I've been keeping an eye out for the "right" size 😅 (Of course, the answer to that is to just get a doll in every size... I wanted a custom Dollfie Dream for so long and kept scouring Yahoo!Japan Auctions, only to stumble onto the artist's page on Facebook instead. Eventually I will just have to buy a standard model and start practicing.
