batacho Posted March 21, 2019 (edited) I've been looking around the internet for painted DD heads for a decent price. I know you can find painted heads in Yahoo Japan Auction for a good price but i don't know what proxy service I should use. I would prefer the service to be budget friendly. If this forum give recommend me some proxy services, that would be amazing. Edited March 21, 2019 by batacho
Noxxbunny Posted March 21, 2019 (edited) I personally like Zenmarket. Mainly because I tend to only buy one thing at a time. This works great with their $3 per item system. This especially works in your favor compared to places that charge commission based on your win price. Also, they offer their own form of credit system after you've bought a certain amount, and that can be really convenient on larger buys. I find them easy and pretty straightforward to use. I didn't constantly feel kind of "surprised" by my totals in the end like I did when I used to use FromJapan. It's pretty "click and bid/buy" for the most part. Oh. Forgot to mention, one funny thing though. If you find a head you like and it says you can't bid on it because it's prohibited, hit the option that contacts the staff to approve it lol. I only had one instance where this happened because the description had the word "paint" in it(to describe how the faceup was done). It took them a couple hours to approve it. So be careful if it's time sensitive. Pickle Posted March 22, 2019 (edited) I personally use Buyee. Their prices are decent and have many different shipping methods to choose from. If you are wanting a layaway for anything priced over $250 USD, then I'd choose Rinkya Inc. as they are only one I know of that allows a layaway plan. However, Rinkya's shipping is absolutely horrendous and they don't show you how much shipping is for each different shipping option. Buyee, on the other hand, shows the price for each shipping method, so no worries there. Overall, I'd recommend Buyee as long as you can pay in full. 😊 Best of luck with choosing the proxy service that's right for you! 👍 Edited April 10, 2019 by Pickle
mangaemi Posted April 2, 2019 I’ve used Shoppingmalljapan. For auctions they’re easy to work with... but special orders on non yahoo japan sites its been a hassle. im still looking for a reasonable priced proxy that can buy off of sites like mercari. SMJ never can for whatever reason. ♥ ★ ✮ ~ Amassing an army of Anime Cuties ~ ✮ ★ ♥ The Family: Sheryl, Ranka, Kirika, Arlex2, Yoko, Snow Miku, Haruka, Student Mariko, Prisma Illya, Akira, Maria, Cirno, Noumi, Asuna Titania, Sakuya on the way: want: Sailor Moon, Miki, Yukiho

DesertPhantom51 Posted April 10, 2019 I'd also recommend FromJapan, I've been very happy with their services so far.
20blackbags Posted April 10, 2019 Buyee and Fromjapan are two services I’ve used to by heads from japan yahoo auction. They both have pros and cons. With Buyee I just have to use my PayPal and with FromJapan I have to transfer money. Fromjapan is usually has a better yen to usd than Buyee and some auctions that are unwilling to ship to proxy’s will ship to Fromjapan because they give you a Japanese mailbox. Buyee holds items for 30 days and Fromjapan holds thing for 40 days. Also I learned that if you are buying from the same person, and the auctions end around the same time Fromjapan will ship them together so you save on shipping. There are many sites that do this service like zen market which I have not used yet. What’s important is looking at the fees each service charges for your purchase. Like if they charge a Domestic shipping fee, and how high is it compared to other shopping services. What shipping options do they offer, and most importantly what protection you can get for your item. Some service offer coupons or specials for a limited time. Buyee just had a coupon last month waving the services fee, and I recall they had a free shipping event during New Years. Despite how good or better priced other services are I almost always end up using Buyee. I hope you find a service you like.
