Baldys girls on Christmas morning part 2!

Ok, here's the final part of the Christmas morning gift bonanza!

 

When we left off last time, all I had left was Rei, Mai and Manami to get their presents. So now we join Manami as she finishes handing out gifts.

 

Manami - "Ok yall, thanks for waiting for me to hand out all the other stuff!"

 

Mai - "Ah it's no problem, I liked seeing the others opening their goodies."

 

R - "Yes, that was quite enjoyable."

 

 

M - "Now to see what's in here!"

 

R - "Such nice paper.... I may keep this."

 

 

Lenny looks on as if to say, "Where's MY presents?"

 

 

R - "When did you figure out that I liked frogs Papa?"

 

Heh, you're easy to read my dear. You and Sango love watching Animal Planet and I have to keep erasing various reptile shows off the DVR list.

 

R - "Drat. And here I thought I had erased all of those programs."

 

Nice try Rei but no dice.

 

R - "Ah well, I shall be more diligent in the future. Thank you for the slippers and puzzle Papa, I like them."

 

You are most welcome Rei!

 

 

"HA! How cool! Tiger slippers!"

 

 

"Whoa! This girl on the package looks just like me!"

 

 

Isn't that cool Mai? This present is like Mamimi's. The kitty ears and bloomers are from Uncle Jun97 and the rest is from me.

 

"Thank you Uncle Jun, you rock!"

 

 

How do you like your dress Rei?

 

"I am stunned actually. I had no idea you would actually buy me this dress! I figured if I asked for it, you would think I was losing it.... seeing as it is quite girly."

 

Oh come on Rei, you know I love seeing you all dressed up in cute outfits.

 

"I suppose you are right."

 

 

Thank you Papa, I owe you one.

 

Hee hee....

 

 

Mamimi - "Ma-chan! Where are your presents?"

 

Manami - "Oh.. I totally forgot! I guess I got caught up making sure everyone else was taken care of to get mine."

 

Mamimi - "Silly Sissy! You're so sweet!"

 

 

R - "Here you are Manami, please open your present now."

 

 

Mamimi - "Oooo! Looks like it's full Ma-chan!"

 

Manami - "Well, help me see what's inside Mi-chan."

 

 

"Heh, monkey slippers, how fun!"

 

 

"Oh man! Ice cream floats and sundaes? AWESOME!"

 

 

"So much food! YAY!"

 

 

I know these are the cheap knock off Iwako erasers but for a buck each, I couldn't say no.

 

 

Lenny and Squiggy are searching for their presents... my Mom gave them some Angry Birds catnip toys!

 

 

"Check out my badass belt! I know the perfect shorts for this to go with!"

 

 

"And I got some sweet bracelets!"

 

A local friend who makes jewelry made these for Manami as a present.

 

 

Alice has gotten a nice chair for herself along with a stuffed bear and some mini-MINI M&M's!

 

 

M - "Wow, so many nice things! I never thought I'd see so many presents all in one place!"

 

R - "Me either! That was lots of fun tho."

 

 

Heh, well Ryomou and Mashiro, now it's time for the gifts Santa brought!

 

Mashiro - "What? There's MORE?"

 

Ryomou - "NO WAY!"

 

Elisabeth, Yukino and Miyuki - "HOORAY!"

 

 

"Oh yes....that is correct. Last year we DID get some extras from the fat man."

 

 

R - "Those ears are so cute on you Mai!"

 

M - "I'll let you rub them later Mou-chan...."

 

R - "Oooo! You're on!"

 

 

Ok girls, here they are!

 

 

Yukino and Elisabeth head right for the table and tea set.

 

I got this from my Mom. She found it at Target and said they have LOTS of stuff there that will fit American girl size dolls.

 

 

"Yay! I love tea! Now we have a super girly table and chairs we can use for tea parties!"

 

 

"Oh yeah, this is really nice. I can see us doing this every day!"

 

 

Looks like the DDdy girls have setup the pool table!

 

I got this at Walmart of all places. It was on sale for $25! It doesn't come with legs but I plan to make some for it so that it's at the proper height for them.

 

 

R - "I love the red backer! It's so bright!"

 

M - "Yeah, it's really nice and the ball setup is also cool."

 

 

"Look! Lucky Number 7!"

 

 

"These girls have no chance against me! School's in session!"

 

The pool cues are a bit big for the girls but I plan to get some wooden dowels and sand them down to use instead.

 

 

And now for the best thing ever...

 

A DD sized CRANE GAME!

 

 

I found this at a local store called Wonder Works. They normally carry science type stuff for kids. I went in looking for something totally different but when I saw this, I had to get it! And it was only $35! And it WORKS!

 

 

"So shiny and colorful!!!"

 

I plan to get better pics of this later when I have better lighting.

 

 

Here you can see the controls. It runs on 3 "D" cell batteries. And of course, my resident Otaku girl HAD to hop on the controls first. Miyuki says she is a pro at crane/UFO Catcher games.

 

 

Well, it looks like Miyuki wasn't kidding! She already has an Iwako eraser animal! Can she get it to the chute before her time runs out?

 

 

Mamimi - "Wow Miyuki! You got one on your first try!"

 

Miyuki - "I told you I was good! High five!"

 

 

Let's see what you got dear.

 

"Ok! Look, it's a cow!"

 

 

"How enthralling! How does it work? Where are the gears and electronics?"

 

 

You have to use these little plastic coins to get the machine running. Just like the arcade, put in a coin and the game starts up with music and lights!

 

 

As for the goodies inside, I got all those things at the Dollar Store! Most are party favors and such, several of them in a bag for a buck. Not too shabby and it makes for a colorful display.

 

 

Mashiro gets to try now!

 

 

Mamimi - "Ohh! I think you have one Mashiro!"

 

Rei - "Go left a bit more, there you go!"

 

 

Mamimi - "Congrats Mashiro! You did great!"

 

Mashiro - "Thank you!"

 

 

What did you get Mashiro?

 

"I think it's a little puzzle!"

 

 

I'm guessing the Santa gifts went over well. All the girls are busily playing away!

 

Miyuki - "Yeah Rei! Go right more! Then drop it!"

 

Rei - "I see, I see. I will have you this time!"

 

 

And the others are happily shooting pool....

 

Yoko - "Four ball, corner pocket!"

 

Ryomou - "Why is she always so good at games?"

 

Mai - "Don't worry Mou-chan, keep trying!"

 

 

 

And so ends our morning. I was so beat after all this! But the girls continued playing for the rest of the day.

Nice conclusion to your Christmas story. It's nice to see Rei being all shy about wanting something girly, a strangely fitting response from her for that situation.

 

The gifts from Santa are awesome. Your more quiet girls will clearly enjoy the fancy table and tea set while the more outgoing ones can enjoy the games.

 

The shots of the girls playing with the crane game and staring into it were great. They're obviously quite skilled too as they were winning at an alarming rate. Good thing you're not trying to make a living operating that thing.

 

The pool table is great too. I knew Yoko would love such a thing. You need to make her a bent cue or something so the other girls have a chance.

 

A great story with a lot of very nice moments and photos!

I was looking forward to this, I'm so happy to see that all your girls had a wonderful Christmas.

Those are fabulous photos! It is great to see Kitty Idol Lenny out there again being all Lenny-like. That shot of him lying there is just so cute.

 

You were not kidding about how great part 2 was going to be. The table and chairs set for tea time is too adorable. The crane game is spectacular. They look delighted to play with it. scripple is right that they are very good at it. The pool table is impeccably detailed and just awesome to see. There is just something compelling about it. I think your narrrower dowel pool cue idea will make the set even more perfect.

 

I am looking forward to seeing Rei in her new outfit. That shot of Mashiro and Ryomou is particularly beautiful.

I know I already told you but I just LOVE that pic of Lenny! He is such a gorgeous cat! I also loved the pic of him and Squiggy in all the presents. I bet those Angry Birds catnip toys are super cute, I may have to get some for my cats.

 

That was such a wonderful gift for Rei! I can't wait to see her in that outfit. I know she will look fantastic in it!

 

I also loved Mai's gifts, I'm so happy that you were able to get that loungeset for her.

 

I recognize those *novelty erasers*! XD Don't go hating on Dollar Tree erasers...LOL! The ones we got in before were WAY better. That's why I never bothered with these. But hey more food for Manami, I'm sure she isn't complaining...lol! XD

I figured you had something big and cool to show us! I didn't figure on three something bigs! A nice set of a table and chairs, a pool table and a claw machine! Nice!

It's unusual to see a pool table in red, and it is so bright it wil stand out and will be the center of your gaming room for the girls.

 

Good also to see that you are thinking of putting the pool table on legs and making some DD size cue's for the girls

 

The crane game/ufo catcher is also avaible in the UK but comes full of sweets. Sadly it is very expensive, but a very impressive find.

 

The girls have been really well looked after and I hope that when Sabre arrives at your place she will also feel welcomed when she see how much there is to do.

I love the pool table as well, that's an excellent find. The cues look sooooo derpy with your girls, so GL making new ones.

It took some time to gather all these items up but in the end, I think I did well on them. Now I don't have to buy anything else for a little bit.

 

And with the bigger gifts from Santa, I now have more ways to do photo shoots! I already have plans to do another shoot with the Crane Game with better lighting so I can have less reflections. I also want to do a very dark set of pics with the pool table, having all the DDdy girls playing a game and looking sexy. And of course, the tea set and table will be great for tea parties with my more girly girls.

 

AerisAquata, I always make sure to use any and all gifts sent to my girls! Mou-chan has had that clip on since it arrived and she seems to like it a lot.

 

Traveller, I have NO idea how Santa will outdo himself next year! He may have backed himself into a corner!

 

Galvatim, I'll be sure to take pics of Rei in her new outfit this weekend, probably tomorrow. No worries, she is actually WANTING to do a photo shoot with it!

NightmareTea, I can tell you right now that I won't be adding 7 new girls to my family for next year. With 11 of them here and Saber Extra on the way, I can't afford the time or upkeep for any more. Unless a Kanu shows herself for an extremely great price, I won't be adopting anymore girls anytime soon. But thanks for wishing that for me!

Oh cool! I'm glad you found some of them! Will you post some pics of them when you finish cleaning/painting them? I'm interested in seeing how you went about this.

Sure thing! What I ended up doing was sanding the edges off of the eraser seams.

 

After that I took some clear nail-polish and went over some areas to give the food a slight shine. I have a few more that are still drying, but I think that it all turned out pretty cute. It's not the best edit, but here is what I came up with today:
