Leekeworld Art Wigs' fibers still stain?

Recommended Posts

There are a couple of very old threads here about this but not much concrete info and as it's been years things might also be different. There was some discussion about the Art Wigs being the type that are dyed or powdered and thus a real stain risk for vinyl dolls. It was also indicated Leeke had a warning about this on the site.

I don't find such a warning anywhere and the wigs all appear to state they are heat-resistant fiber now. Would the dyed type be heat-resistant?

Anyway, I'm interested in these two, but only if I can be confident they aren't dyed or powdered:

I've been looking for bright reds and haven't found a whole lot.

I ordered two from Crobi:

Both of those wigs should be fine.

The wigs that cause staining issues were (are?) multi-colored wigs. For example, the wig would be blond at the top and fade to a dark blue at the bottom. This was usually accomplished by applying a dark blue powder to the bottom of the wig, and that powder could then stain a doll.  Usually Leeke now achieves the multi-color affect by having a shorter layer of one color, and then a longer large of the other color. I haven't seen them use the power in years.

I have never seen Leeke use powder with a single-color wig.

Thank you. @onion23@

I noticed all the multi-color ones looked like layered fiber.
