finnleo Posted March 31, 2019 Well, as luck would have it my little mage project came to a bit of a deflated halt.. but before I was to admit this thing to the pile of other unfinished businesses I whacked together a quick and dirty setup with close enough items that I had. also chopped up a wig while I was at it, unfortunately the burgundy background didn't do it many favors, and the characters iconic hairdo where the longer bangs at her sides come from roughly behind her ears, were done into the wig, they hardly show up... baldylox Posted March 31, 2019 Awesome work and photos! I am so impressed with how cool looking that staff you made turned out. It's so detailed and badass! And the lighting effect just tops it off so well. Awesome job on that! As for your girl, she looks great as well, I like the bandaged look, reminds me of Rei Ayanami. And her bikini is great too, love the color and fitment on her. Wonderful job with the photos as always, I do enjoy seeing your pics and what you'll come up with next! Well in the case of the little Crimson Imp the bandages are just part of the characters chuunibyo-thing ... so they are there just for show versus ayanami having to actually be bandaged for reasons. as far as the lighting goes, I find it slightly amusing in a peculiar way, that the cheaper I go with the lights the better results I seem to end up with. This set still had a problem of having two totally different color-rated lights in it ending up in some photos looking a bit more blue, but since this has worked in practice I'll butcher another LED bulb to be able to match the two main lights. as for what next ... well... who knows. maybe some more sawdust or something of the sorts...
