I have returned! - Hello from NorCal!

I can't believe how long it's been since I first joined the original Dollfie Dreams forum! I don't remember exact dates but my first introduction to the hobby was a "Hatsune Miku" video search that brought up a picture of Danny Choo's version of Hatsune Miku (way before Volks released their own version) then from there I discovered this handy dandy forum and became quite the lurker. It wasn't long after that that I discovered resin BJDs and Obitsu. And at that time an Obitsu was better for my budget and customization wants.

Years...and a few discoveries later...

I now have quite the little collection of articulated "BJDs"! And I discovered that I definitely prefer vinyl bodies to resin, they are far easier for me to handle and pose. I also discovered that I could hybridize a resin head onto an Obitsu body. So now my collection is a mix of vinyl, resin and vinyl, resin, and one resin with ABS body!

I love how eclectic my collection has grown. And I'm happy to say that I finally own a Dollfie Dream! I got her last year but...with my little one I haven't had the time to properly put her all together. She's waiting patiently for me to carve out a bit of dolly time. The little one is officially a year old today so my posting and picture taking will be sporadic! ❤️

 

Let's see...what else can I put here. I'm in Northern Cali near SF and Sac. We use to travel a lot to beaches, redwoods, aquariums and zoos - but not so much now. Hopefully we will again soon. Most of my current time is spent at home (with little one) so I'm at my computer often digitally drawing/painting. I'm hoping to get back into crafting; there are many dioramas and props that I need to work on!
