Kanu on Hobbies and New Years Greeting

on the last day of the year, Kanu inquires about things like hobbies and New Year's resolution.

 

 

What are you up to, Kanu?

"Just looking at this picture you drew, Pa."

Ah, that. It's something meant for a sort of crossover pic I plan to do.

 

 

"You like to draw a lot, don't you, Pa?"

I do. I can preach and be philosophical about the importance of art and imagination, but we can only live so long. In fact, for my New Year's resolution, I intend to draw a whole lot more. I have to get better at it if I want to make my own graphic novels. It's great to make a career out of a hobby you like doing.

"Hobbies, Pa?"

 

 

Yeah, you know. What you like to do to pass time. For instance, again, I like drawing. Come over here for a second. Remember that new whiteboard I put up a couple weeks ago?

 

 

[Ah, picture's cut off a bit. Oh well.]

See? I plan to draw at least one complete drawing for every day of 2012. For a long while now, I've been putting off drawing, so tomorrow is the time for me to remedy that.

"That's really ambitious. I want to do something like that some time. I'm not much of an artist, though..."

Perhaps. But, maybe you can make a hobby out of modeling?

"Modeling, Pa?"

Indeed. I was gonna surprise you with this, but looky here.

 

 

"Ah!"

Yup. I'm gonna get you some more nice things. I don't want you walking around with nothing else to wear - as nice as that striped sweater is. Go ahead and look around.

"Okay! I think...I like this set."

 

 

Ah, that pink-ish purple thing. It's light and lovely.

"Oh, but it's $65..."

Never you mind that. It's fine.

"You mean it?"

Do I have a beard?

"N-no."

That's right, but I'm gonna buy you this anyway.

 

 

"Thank you, Pa. For you, I'll be a great model."

For you, I'll be a likeable 'Pa'.

"Oh, and for now...I think I want to pick up on another hobby."

Hm? And what would that be?

 

 

"That."

Wha--huh?

 

 

When did I leave the TV on...?

"I watched you play sometimes, Pa."

Really now? Ah...you're training against my team?

Uhm uhm, can I say something silly? Cut the fringe to Kanu. Poor her, she can't see anything with the hair covering the eyes, lol xD

Also, try putting the sweater a bit more down, covering more the legs xD this is because I don't really like how she looks in the belly zone: in few pics she seems a bit fat
