Hello from Russia!

 

I think I'll try being active on this forum. New layout - new me lol 😄

I got into dolls not that long ago - maybe about 9 or 10 years. First thing that got me into this hobby was BJD, but it was only after a few years of research and fawning over gorgeous pictures that i got my own doll. Then i was slowly drifting between BJD and fashion dolls, until one day i saw a listing for second-hand DD Saber Alter (2nd).

Dollfie Dreams were always that - a dream - to me, because somehow i thought they were too expensive and too high maintenance. So when i saw this girl, i finally took my chance and got her. She was not only my guide into wonderful world of Dollfie Dreams, but also in the world of Fate, but that's another story 😄

She was pretty old and her white skintone yellowed a bit, and also was absorbing stains like crazy, so i had to teach myself basic DD maintenance as early and as quickly as possible (literally breaking a leg in progress - don't worry, she already got new one).

And at the beginning of the year a new girl joined the family - at this time still nameless DD Mirai and gosh her pointed nose is the cutest thing in the world and i'm in love with retro anime style of her face  

Me and the girls are looking forward to meeting new friends!

Your first girl is really pretty as @cfx said, her style is really kawaii in starry pink 💕

@cfx Thank you very much! She was in her signature black dress for a while, until it started staining T_T So it kinda pushed me to change her style a bit, but i love how she looks! Now waiting on a new wig for her  

 

@Singer Yuna Thank you! I used japanese cotton for the skirt and collar, it's very soft and easy to work with!

@Mothiraffe Thank you so much! Only the best for my favorite girl  it's sad that Volks discontinued white skin color (but understandable, considering how easily it stains and discolours), makes looking for additional hands and other parts a bit trickier. 

I'm currently working in my photography skills and it's so uplifting to know that it's starting to show! 😄 

 

@UnaArista I knowww, I've been wanting to get a white-bodied doll recently but that's going to be easier said than done! I'm glad you were able to get a doll you so clearly adore. She's lovely! And I think pastels are definitely a good look on her... plus less likely to stain. |D;
