Yeah I remember this, somewhere that sculptor even posted the files so it was real obvious it was their work... How else would they have access to early draft files? No idea where it was, tho.

Uhm, guys, what does it mean when you choose a doll and it pops up with a "sale ends in (time)" dialogue? Really worried here!

I've never seen that before. The only thing close to it was when Danny would do a 24 hour time sale, but I don't believe he has done one for quite some time.

Oof, I just checked and it seems too legit to be a glitch. I bet this is a response to everyone wanting a warning before he raises prices. 😨

I think he's done time sales in the past for stuff that is being discontinued.

I think you might be right, and if so, that's not a very great way to let people know in my opinion 😰

Just curious, what's the price getting raised to? And I agree, that's a pretty foul way to do things, but it is sort of his trademark on how he runs his business now.

 

Edit: Saw a post in one of the Smart Doll groups. I'm guessing a price increase or maybe he is trying to go down the preorder route for his dolls thus cutting off surplus stock?

I mean, the price increase is kinda just a theory at this point (I personally strongly believe it's going to happen though), so I don't think there is a new set price known at the moment🤔

This is pretty terrible and anxiety inducing. >_<; But yup, totally called something like this. I just knew there was going to be some kind of misfortune or tantrum or exploding the whole site because seriously! Argh >_<; I hate that we're all left in the dark, speculating over what might happen.

Maybe it could be one of those weird coupon discount things he does? Some people in a Facebook group were asking about a code or something.

(I tried to check all the regular places for news and stuff, but there was nothing. If there was a treasure hunt or offer or something, I'm surprised it wasn't posted on Instagram)

I have to find the post again but apperently he gives the code to one certain Facebook? I'll edit this later once I find the post agin.

Update: I found the post but unfortunately I couldn't find the comment that mentioned the code. I could have just missed it because I'm not really sure how Facebook works( I'm new to using it, sorry..). Anways, someone did post about the timer thing and alot of people are also concerned that it means prices are going to be raised . But! Some are saying that this could be a test for that new pre-order system Danny was talking about, hopefully this is the case.

Unfortunately I don't  know how much of a discount was offered:/. I think it was a mod that said Danny gives codes first to some facebook group, but that comment was either edited or deleted.. I would really like to know too but it was also stated that some products are "exclusives" meaning that the general public can't buy them right away( like the only the brave thing from a while ago, which is why it was sold out before release...) which is... weird.

As for the people asking about the "Danny's Deals" thing, it's not a code.

 

The last time I used it was when he and I had worked something out for a Cortex body kit.  Basically if he is doing something like sending you repair parts or has worked something out with you at a convention or other thing, he asks for you to add that item to your cart.  Then he emails you a code to put in on your payment page.  That then sets things up for you and him to know whatever it was you two had worked out.

 

So it's not a timed thing, it's not a hidden discount button and it's not a sale thing.  It's basically a line item he adds to a ticket to let him and his employees know something is different about this ticket/order from the norm.  That's it.  At least that's how it worked when I used it before.

Just a heads up, the timer was just a website glitch, Danny talks about it in an Instagram post, here:
