Kumi Posted January 2, 2012 Is not very new news, but found it just today. Another company had a trip to the "anime territory" Ladies and gentlemen, from Puella Magi Madoka Magica series - Mami Tomoe http://www.dollfairyland.co.jp/SHOP/SA_000002.html If I understand what Google translates, she's sold out. Fairy Land is well known for very poseable resin dolls, and this is no exception. You can find additional body photos here - http://hobby-channel.net/figure-news/22888-22888.html The other of their dolls is Black Butler Sebastian Michaelis - http://www.dollfairyland.co.jp/SHOP/SA_000001.html//www
Pupi Posted January 2, 2012 Wow! The face-up and the outfit are perfect! And that body is really posable! I thought Mami and Sebastian were realized by Polygonia... Maybe this is a retailer? This doll is only 40 cm tall and cost 78K yen as base price! It was available for preorder only for 15 days, from November the 15th to the 30th... enthusiast pasta girl - she/her - power bi Mini Mode Lab
Talolili Posted January 2, 2012 This is a pretty cute doll, but I'm not familiar with the series.
Kumi Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) I thought Mami and Sebastian were realized by Polygonia... Maybe this is a retailer? Doll Fairyland is the actual sculptor / maker. Polygonia probably custom ordered these. And they know how to sculpt. For example, Siean Elf (Empress of Sword), 65cm line http://dollfairyland.com/shop/step1.php?number=839 Edited January 2, 2012 by Guest

Kumi Posted January 2, 2012 The translation says it's FL anime style body but probably based on MNF design.
Nightmare Tea Posted January 2, 2012 Oh she's so cute! I adore Mami both in and out of the anime! But the fact that she's resin and how expensive she is isn't going to make me buy her.
jadepixel Posted January 2, 2012 Fairyland dolls are usually sculpted by the team Cereberus Project - same team does anime figures/model kits as well. These dolls are some of the most pose-able and well-engineered of resin bjd. I do wish they would make some more anime dolls, and make them available overseas too! jadepixel doll lab jadepixel eye shop
Coffee Posted January 4, 2012 I love this. I really, reeeeeally do. They better start selling heads and bodies as a standard thingy. Though I really don't like that it's strung. :/ But ah mai gawd, GIMME!! milkytea Posted January 4, 2012 I don't feel like her body really looks all that different from the normal MiniFée active line body. (I don't mean that as an insult, I'm just confused about the phrase "anime styled" body, as I don't notice any differences between it and the regular active line body.) Update: Okay, immediately after I said that I realized what the difference is. It looks exactly like the MiniFée body except it has a torso without a hip joint. Coffee Posted January 4, 2012 It is actually the MiniFee GIRL Body (Active Line)-body. http://dollfairyland.com/shop/step1.php?number=539 I was a bit disappointed it only was a 40cm body. I want my 60cm lolis! XD But still, they better make more awesome anime dolls! milkytea Posted January 4, 2012 I wonder why they removed the hip joint, particularly considering that her costume totally covers her torso.

Pihlajakoto Posted January 9, 2012 If I got it right Tomoe's hands are attached with magnets O_O I don't know much about resin dolls and I'm not usually tempted by them but these anime dolls Dollfairyland makes are great! My blog Pihlajakoto
MaxArcher Posted January 9, 2012 If I got it right Tomoe's hands are attached with magnets O_O I don't know much about resin dolls and I'm not usually tempted by them but these anime dolls Dollfairyland makes are great! Yeah, most of their dolls have magnetic hands and feet. It's kinda odd with some models like the FeePle 65, though, because they have magnetic hands but they don't actually make any alternate hands to switch them with! writtenlullabye Posted February 12, 2012 Wow! I didn't know Fairyland made a Mami doll! I have a Minifee and that is the same exact body that my girl has. It is wonderfully sculpted and she poses like a dream. The Mami head looks incredible. Check out my doll videos on Youtube

Jezrah Posted April 13, 2012 I think she's really cute too but something about her expression just doesn't look like Mami to me. I can't remember her ever making that face. Oh well it's still a nice expression anyway.
