The Shining dolls were one of the last things I expected to see as a DD but they are super cute (with just a touch of necessary creepy of course). Well done on them!

Anyway... Both girls are on DDP bodies in semi white skin. Alexie is a DDH10, and Alexa is a DDH22, both I have painted myself. I haven't attempted a faceup in 10 years or more (I've only done 2 previous), so they are far from perfect. I'm happy enough with the outcome, but I'll probably continue tweaking them to be a bit better over time.

Oh they're wonderful up close!  The face-ups are great and lend to that surreal spooky look.  Well done!

Thank you so much! Cece is actually a Volks prepainted 05 head from 2012(?) They surface on Mandarake every now and then for decent prices. 

@TheWhiteRabbit Oh wow! I never would have have guessed, I figured she was a custom of some kind. Do they still do prepainted heads? I've only ever seen the blank option heads on VolksUSA

They do prepainted heads for limited release on occasion, but not something they offer normally. I don't feel like they have offered one in quite a while now, but I could be wrong. I love the 05 head, its very underrated imo  Volks did a great job on this prepaint I think. 

@TheWhiteRabbit That's a shame, I feel like prepainted heads would be great for newbies if they're not a fan of the standard models or can't afford the doll plus the wig, eyes, and outfit. And agreed! It honestly makes me see more potential in the 05 head, it's more versatile than I thought it was

Some of the pre-painted heads are offered as Dream Choice makeup options now. I know my pre-painted DDH-06 is available as DCH-06 M01 now, and the same is probably true for the 05 and 07 heads. The Magical Ruby head is unique though.

Dropping in with a new arrival well, half... She's actually stolen Mayu's body for these photos. She's just a floating head for now, but please meet Femi! This was 100% @baldylox 's fault haha. He posted his Femi and something just sparked, I had to have one. 

Luckily I found her head on Mandarake for very cheap! She needed some TLC though. 

Someone had painted her lips hot pink (with what may have been nail polish). She also needed a good wash, she was quite grimy. 

I cleaned her up, removed the nail polish lips and gave her a fresh, softer set of lips. 

Anyway, heres a few snaps of her on a DDS body. Hopefully she will have her own body soon

She looks so pretty with her clean up and repaint!  You did a wonderful job on her!  She positively glows now!  😉 

Congrats on getting your own Femi!  As you see now, she really is a beautiful girl in person.  Those big eyes and shy smile are just so captivating!  I'm really happy you got one, she's lucky to be in a great home like yours.

Thank you! I am happy I was able to get the pink polish off of her lips, it was very thick lol. I'm very glad to have her home, her eyes are so bright and lovely.

Femi snagged her own body and has joined the crew just in time for Spooky season She's waiting on some clothing more suited to her personality, but I'm happy she's not a floating head anymore. She's on a DD2 M bust body I I got a good deal on from Mando.

Wow, that Halloween setup 🥰.

My girls need to raise their game!

We do have more spooky stuff than last year though.

Some new Volks outfits arrived, so naturally I had to take a few quick pics. 😁

First up is MDD Rena in the mini grey kitty dress! This dress is TOOOO stinking cute. I mean, just look at it... 

 

Yayoi is modeling the little devil vest/sweater. I freaking love this sweater, I've wanted to pick it up in the past but missed out on it.  

 

And lastly, I picked up the "wizard hat" which Femi is sporting (also eludes to what her overall character style will be😉)

They all look so cute!  Great choices for who is wearing what too.  Femi could definitely pull off being a witch with those red eyes and black hair.  If not, she could go for the gothic style and look great.

Thank you!  Femi is definitely going to be my resident spooky girl, I think it suits her.

WOW! Your lighting is so cool! I love how you have all your girls set up and balanced around your shelf! Saber in her winter clothing by the tree is the perfect centerpiece of the whole shelf! But I also really adore Rena and Femi. Rena is just so adorable with her big soft eyes cuddling that little bear! And Femi looks very traditional yet still festive with her santa hat, hehe. Also Yayoi and Luna are precious with their pokemon friends! Your set up is so fun, I bet it looks gorgeous at night too. I wonder, will they all get little stockings and presents for Christmas? 👀🎁
