Volks USA Summer Festival 2019

To celebrate the arrival of summer, Volks USA will be conducting a special event featuring DD and outfits from July 1 to July 22 (PST). 

This is on their Facebook page, but nothing on their website yet.

VolksUSA updated and posted their Summer Festival products. Good news for those that missed the chance to snatch some Vocaloids DD! They will have Sakura Miku, old and new Miku, Snow Miku, Rin & Len, and Luka! There are also some nice addition of other DDs as well as some outfits. Rather a nice selection but I am assuming it will be in limited quantities so I am expecting quick click war.

Was hoping for Anastasia (since I missed her PO) but at least there is Kaede. Hmmm I might be tempted to finally try to buy Ami and/or Rei.

That is an awesome selection of dolls. Pretty much everything they're released recently, plus some older staples.

Ugh. They do this after I drop beaucoup bucks on Sakura Miku. I would love to get a Rin or Luka. Sigh.

I knooooww... I too would love a Rin or Luka, but I recently returned from a trip to Japan, and snagged a Dream Choice girl while I was there. I really should not be dropping the money on another girl right now. I will have to cling to the hope that they'll be available next year.

I've been there.  I spent a fair bit on a Sheryl Nome only for Volks to announce the rerelease shortly thereafter.

Aw, I really want Rin! But I have no money lol(T-T)

I came pretty close to that; I had been eyeing her on Mandarake for quite some time but always procrastinated and then the rerelease happened.

Then I waited most of the night after she went up still hesitant to spend that, as that was the only full doll I've bought so I'd not spent that much at once before. She didn't sell out though during my waffling, so I got her.

But, we can't beat ourselves up too much over that kind of thing. We're in all these hobbies where things get rereleased that we never expect and end up overpaying for them. I bought the Hatsune Miku: Love is War DX figure maybe a year before she was rereleased because I never thought that would happen, and I think GSC had even said previously it wasn't feasible to rerelease--or at least someone on MFC claimed as such.

What time of day will these become available? I need to figure out when I need to be available...

Good question. The banner on Volks USA says "July 1 - July 22(PT)" with PT obviously being Pacific Time, yet no time is actually given, and the facebook announcement is the same.

The other two rotating banners maybe give a clue. The Dolpa 41 outfit lottery is July 5 starting at 9AM PT, and the SD Full Choice ordering is July 1-10 at 11AM PT.

So probably either 9AM or 11AM. I seem to recall the stuff is sometimes available earlier than their posted times too, or maybe that's Volks Japan; I can't remember.

Given it starts day after tomorrow you'd think they'd have something specific up on the site about it.

I will add in to say that also check around 12 AM PT. I don't know about click war items (since I've done more lottery stuff recently for VolksUSA) but based on my experience on waiting for restock items, they have gone up exactly on 12 AM PT... These are items that only tend to have a date and not time. In my case it means waiting around 2 AM for my zone but I have successfully snatched a few items that were out of stock by the next morning.

I got Kaede! I'm so excited, this is my first direct from Volks, brand new doll.

I managed to get Sakura Miku after failing to get her the other times ... 😅

Did Volks give an estimate of when they would ship?

Aww welp, missed out on Luka's senbonzakura outfit again. Maybe next time...

I picked up the Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars school uniforms.  Looks like there's quite a bit still available.  If Sailor Mercury lasts long enough, maybe I'll pick one up.  I'm trying not to splurge on more dolls, though, I've gotten 4 between April and today already, and still have 2B on the way.

Mercury is beautiful, so you wouldn’t regret her.

Mars is stunning for anyone who might be thinking of her. I think so far she is the most accurate of the three. I hope Minako and Makoto are as perfect as Mars if they get made.

Haha, I'll see.  I'm going out of town for an anime con next weekend, so I'll see if she's still available after that.

Unfortunately, for me, I am on the fence about getting Sailor Mercury or Mars this time since my computer just died a few days ago (which is an unexpected future expense) and I will be leaving on vacation for a bit. Ah, maybe this is life telling me to wait a bit longer on bringing them both home. 😖

They reported a restock of the event dolls on Volks USA. Was five hours ago, so no idea what may still be available.
