Volks DD Fes 2019

I forgot DDFes was today and ended up at Dollpoint by accident during the festivities. It was actually a really fun event, way moreso than I expected. We arrived while they were setting up for Miss Akihabara, watched a hair styling demo, got some gatcha spins, viewed Ram and Rem along with the new releases, saw the announcement of Miss Akihabara and participated in a surprise lottery by Rock-Paper-Scissors where they gave out incomplete dress sets, Cappuccino plushies, can badges and cut outs of the store manager (lol).

There were heaps of Yuriko still available for sale, Akira and Alna were sold by lottery.

The hair styling demo in particular was very interesting!

DD scale! (also some small cutouts they used in the sumo mini game) They usually display the DD scale one in the photo shoot area to pose with your dolls. But they made a new version which you can see hiding in the top right below. Guess they decided to give the old one away. The store manager was so funny though "Please only enter if you really want it, don't throw it out! Don't leave it on the train station!"

Yeah he is a real character, even posing in photo shoots for Dollpa. It was nice hearing him speak for a prolonged period at the festival since he really does match the weird persona shown in the photos.

I’m superfan of the manager (the dollpoint youtube video is like sesame street to me, I watch it on a loop). Each time he surpasses himself with the photobombs. I would like to have an 1/3 manager cut out. DD teacher or beach barman, he can do everything.

@Singer Yuna Haha! If I’d realised someone was a mega fan here I would have tried for the cutouts on your behalf! The small sumo ones in particular were cute but the 1/3 steals the show.

Don’t worry ^^ I admire him a lot, the manager has a dream job ^^

and Volks mascot has something too, specially the visa cat...

(when I walk in dollpoint in 2016 I knew it would be my ruin if I lived in Japan, all those doll festivals and the temptation of seeing DDCOORDs ready for being adopted)
