Hopefully the topic doesn't get hopes up already.

That mentions it will have coverage of DD Fes 2019 and there's a July outfit collection as well as coverage of Hometown Dolpa Nagoya 7. Rest is the usual stuff, and of course there's no mention of new dolls yet.

Volks just posted on twitter the next girls will be DDS Rem and Ram from Re:Zero!

No best selection dolls, which is almost mind boggling to me unless they have more dolls to tease.

I notice in their twitter feed they are doing a huge iM@S thing for the Million Live Theater Days 2nd with Haruka and Miki center stage. Maybe this is a hint, but I'm doubtful.

I did find it odd that concert stage display only has those four girls.

A Haruka rerelease would be the most bizarre thing ever. Unless they took it as an opportunity to give her a new sculpt that actually went with everyone else.

As I said in the other thread, at this point I am 100% clueless as to what Volks is doing.

Yeah the huge iM@S display is to commemorate Theater Days, I just think it's interesting that four of them are on a stage just like Yuriko is on a stage solo. Those four are all high possibilities for re-releases imo. I know Haruka's sculpt isn't popular, but Haruka is the main character in two anime series. I don't think there is anything that says Volks couldn't re-release in pairs either. The voting is only part of what informs their decision iirc.

Why is it just those five girls? If it's only a "historical" display why doesn't it have the rest of them?

Watch it be Volks just selling like five of each doll at DD Fes, ones they still have after all these years.

Only pics I've found so far is probably the most exciting thing for me, DDBoy and DDSBoy are joining Dream Choice finally. Hopefully not too much longer until base bodies, but now it'll be much easier to get hold off bodies which were previously only with limited dolls. Plus, tan boys! And semiwhite DDSB! Neither of those existed before now.
There's also a new MDD-suitable head, DD17, with 3 faceups already.

New faceup options for 9 and 16 also!
I also heard people speaking about DDH18 which seems to also be MDD-suited, I havent seen pics of it yet but presumably it's a new DCoord exclusive and seems to debuting as a one-off at Dolpa.
 

EDIT: also saw another tweet I can no longer find that mentions some of the other Dream Choice makeup options are being retired, although I can't remember which.
Looks like the boys are wearing boyish clothes too, which means they're probably among the new releases, finally, I have been waiting for more gender neutral casual DD clothes for what feels like forever.

Ooh, school swimsuit with DD logo on it is cute. Also nice the Pure Wind waitress outfit is being rereleased as that's hard to find and I think is one of the nicer maid outfits.

The swimsuits and the Pure Wind rerelease are the highlights for me as well.

I'm interested in how well the Pure Wind dress would fit a Smart Doll (the vest appears to fit the DD quite tightly in the pictures). In case someone coincidentally has both lying around, any word on that would be highly appreciated.

I do like the swimsuit. Hopefully they have one for DDP that doesn't look like something your six year old daughter would wear.

The usual person has an album of scans on facebook; it's viewable without an account unlike some times in the past so I was able to look at it:

It's clearly not all pages; p56 of August Dolpa shoes for sure seems to be missing. Two things I see of some interest to me:

• Nanami's guitar is being rereleased as a "The Best" thing
• Technically not a rerelease and there's at least one completely new style, but the Deep Blue military outfits have "evolved" into Abyss Black military outfits.

I'm especially interested in the SDB one of those outfits, which claims to fit DDS and DD, as the previous version of that outfit is pretty much impossible to buy aftermarket; Mandarake doesn't even have a listing for it suggesting they've never had one for sale. I was surprised to see this set, because I think it's pretty unusual for Volks to do a variant like this on the cosplay-type outfits (it's not uncommon on casual stuff).

A minor gripe I have is Volks' change in naming conventions. These outfits now all have the same name, with just the primary doll type at the beginning. Previously, they named them with slightly more descriptive names, like they might have had terms like "skirt" or "pants" at the end, plus those extra terms like "Beauty" "Smart" "Stylish" "Elegant" and so on. While those words were kind of meaningless, they made it easier for me to keep track of which outfit was which, the doll types aren't that meaningful at least for DD since they're all SD designations and SDB/SD/SD16 doesn't automatically fit DD in every case.

Weird, they are missing the shoes for Dolpa as you said and also the page that really got me excited which was a really cute blue and white skirt set with separate bag and parasol accessories (the matching shoes were also very cute). I’ve always wanted an official bag and umbrella for my girl so went nuts seeing them. If those pages are still missing by the time I get home I’ll see about taking some shots.

That's exactly what I immediately thought, and thought of you and your Ranko.

As Volks does have a tendency to rerelease accessories with a different color, maybe it'll happen.

Mandarake has had it for somewhat less, though they haven't had it in stock for a while. Ones they have had tend to have the vinyl guitar case deteriorating though.

It is a lot, but that certainly beats the old 12,800 yen price. Based on what I can see on that page, I'm betting it doesn't come with the guitar case like it did before and that would explain the lower price.

Since apparently those cases disintegrate after a few years anyway, that's better.

I don't remember where, but I've seen closeup pictures of it before and it appears to be very nicely made and has actual strings (probably wire) and the knobs etc. all are quite detailed.

Wow!! Hopefully someone posts a full scan at some point, because that dress looks great. There's lots of tempting stuff in this issue for me.

I'm going to be busy the day the July collection sale starts, and I'm wondering how safe it would be to wait until the after event and buy the stuff I want together then, because theres stuff I want in both the Dolpa and July Collections but I also dont really want to have to pay double shipping (as the worsening aud/yen exchange makes this expensive enough as it is...) Lately all the DD things I've bought ASAP have stayed in stock for months and i felt dumb about buying them in such a panic but I wont have that kinda luck forever of course.

If you look part way down on the page it looks like Volks is doing a Jewelry Box release. Unfortunately it's in two locations only. If we're lucky Volks USA will somehow manage to swing these, otherwise it's Japan in person sales only.

The items look like actual costume jewelry instead of the plastic jewelry DD's often come with.
