Ahhhh these two are way too cute! I kinda want them as twins lol. Unfortunately, I probs need to pick one if anything. Another preorder for them would be the nicest option, I think, but I kinda doubt that that would happen. Ram is adorable, but I am really loving Rem's chubby face.

I hope you can get her! There was a LOT of interest in both of them but the crowd seemed to really want Ram.

I still fail to understand how Volks just screws up the official shots every time. These girls look pretty good in the official shots this time but the colours definitely were off and look much better in person.

I'll make a comparison between Volks promo images to the Smartdoll images. The smart doll product images seem to use really even lighting and very simple backgrounds. The benefit of this is you can really see what you are getting, but the drawback is those particular images aren't very artsy. Not to say Smartdoll doesn't have some great artsy images on their website, but the product pages are more built around "what you see is what you are buying, but read about our wabi-sabi design philosophy."

I think Volks goes for very artistic portrait style images for their dolls. For example the banner at the top of the July collection has a style that is taken from a very classic style of children's portraiture, and it's a style that Volks uses extensively with their photos of the young SD models.

I think when you get into that style of portrait photography it's very beautiful, however it's also driven by a specific artistic vision for the image, and color / saturation tweaking is part and parcel of that. I think it really fits their resins well, because the resin line has always sort of had sort of a "your child" concept to it. Classic portrait photos go really well with that.

I wouldn't really want Volks to change it, because it is a part of the image of Volks, but it does mean you look up owner photos or snapshots from the store events in addition to looking at promos.

They're both really pretty. I'd love to see a Felix Argyle Dollfie Dream too. Felt would be really pretty in DD form as well. I would've loved to get Emilia but i had gotten my Miku already when she was released so i didnt the have the money, i'll have to keep my eye on these two girls.

Felix would be amazing!!

They're so cute! I don't know which one i would get. But back to Felix i was going to make a custom felix doll but the body i was going to use sold out

I ordered something during the Summer event on Volks USA, but now I'm wondering if I should have given the summer event a pass and waited for Rem.

I like her default.  She's pretty cute too.  I agree, they both look a lot better when one eye isn't completely obscured by hair.

I might have to at least see if someone doesn't want their maid outfit when they reach people's homes.

Just for the record, every doll in that event was worth getting so I doubt you will feel regrets.

Kind of odd that they'll have Jeanne and Saber at the FGO event, since the preorder is long over.  I hope this means we'll get a new Fate DD announced (Mash or Ishtar)! 

I'm seriously considering Rem, but I kind of feel like I'd need Ram, too.  If I get her, I'll probably sell my Cherry Milk Rem outfit.

The way it’s worded makes it sound like the FGO event has some kind of merch exhibition, so Volks are there to display the FGO dolls they’ve done (dunno why they didn’t include Santa Alter then as she was listed as being FGO), I guess they aren’t the only ones who are displaying merch that can’t actually be ordered anymore and other companies are doing the same for an exhibitions sake.

Still, I had the same thought, it’s a perfect opportunity to make a new announcement, so here’s hoping for more Fate characters who aren’t Saber...

I noticed the special pages are up.  Rem and Ram are each 63000 yen.  Usually when the dolls make it to USA they just divide the yen price by 100 and that's the USD price.  So, $630.

Not a bad estimate, if I do say so myself.  

I'm not really a fan of Re:Zero, but I'm absolutely loving Rem's sweet face. Ram's semi-pout is a nice contrast to that, too. Good luck to anyone who goes after these pretties! I look forward to seeing photos.

Yeah, thinking I might try for Rem.  It depends on how the timing of her being on Volks USA.

Maybe her smile is a bit too much.  But maybe she can be the "goofy one" in my crew.

Plus, blue hair.  Can't go wrong with blue hair.

And that default outfit set.  Gotta have that.

My DDS sister Mayu has blue hair.  I picked her up in Akihabara Doll point. Her light brown hair was sold out so I settled for blue
