July Collection 2019

I love those marine idol outfits. And that cute little pink bag with the candies, it’s almost like a little itabag. There’s some good clear photos of two of the faceups for DDH17 here too - I posted the links in the DreamChoice thread already.

Maybe the school swimsuit(s) especially since those can double as casual tops. Nothing else in this collection is appealing to me.

I like the candy pink hoodie set.

Some of them usually do, and can go pretty quickly. Shoes and accessories like the bags often sell out within minutes.

But the clothing items may get one restock, and Volks USA will have them probably by lottery. That's usually later so you have a second chance, though that seems like it has changed for some events recently.

yeah sadly for european people only one chance at the international page and always click war ; ; , whit a little luck the outfit you want its not popular and you can buy it. the shoes always fly away very fast

I noticed recently some DD stuff has stayed in stock for months, but unfortunately you can’t predict these things. Stuff like the suits in the February collection went very fast.

Nothing in this group really grabs me either.

I really like that little pink heart bag. It's really cute. But I make no illusions: everyone is gonna want that. So it'll be sold out by the time I wake up 

I'm choked none of the marine sets are available for DDdy. I have a tan one on layaway and the Marine☆Tricolor / Charming set in particular is the exact silhouette I've been looking for.

This was exactly what I was thinking lol I'm going to TRY to get it, but, I'm not getting my hopes up..

Yeah this release has a lot of stuff I want. Basically the swimsuits, all four sailor outfits, the DDP sized hoodie, and 2 or 3 shoes. 

I suspect the SD sized sneakers aren’t going to be worth it on a DD, so I may pass on those.

That would be my guess as well. I have the same black ones you have...in fact I bought them due to your pictures of them on Makoto. And those are huge really; they work with something like the flared jeans you paired them with, but everything I've tried to use them with, like the skinny-leg jeans I have, they end up just looking huge and out of scale. Especially with shorts they just look like clown shoes.

In general, and it's the opposite of what I'd have thought, the SD16 (high heel) shoes fit and look better on DD than the SD13 ones. Well, for Volks shoes anyway; I've had zero luck with the fit on any aftermarket shoes I've bought.

I think the thing with SD16 / SDGr feet is that the feet are arched and the toes are bent to form them to high heeled feet. I think it’s done to make them look nice in some of the more stylish heels that are completely open except for a toe and ankle strap. Both Bell and Ami came with exactly that kind of shoe  

That means the shoe length may be shorter even though the foot is potentially larger.  I’ll have to compare them later, and I should see if Belldandy or Oscars flat feet fit SD shoes  

I suspect SD have flat feet, but I’ve never seen one. 

I think all of that is correct. Add to that the fit of DD feet in SD16 shoes is a bit of a cheat since the DD feet don't have the bends, so really the shoes are also too big, but look far less so. It's also why certain SD16 shoes won't work; the really open ones like you describe won't, or even pumps if the opening goes too far towards the toe like one recent Volks pair.

I don't know all the ins and outs of SDs, but I assume the alternate flat feet you can get for SD16 use the SD13 shoes as well?

Volks has been using a lot of pastel colours for DD/Tenshi-no-koromo clothes for some time now 🤔 They're cute but I'd like to see those outfits with less pastel.

Me too since I don't really care for pastel pinks and blues, though I know they're popular. Maybe it's Volks' way of dealing with staining complaints.

Well, approx. 1 & 1/2 hours in - the heart bag & SD sneakers are out of stock.

I picked up the Candy Pink Hoodie set and the Tricolor Marine Pretty set... Honestly, I've been a bit out of the loop with news, and I just happened to check when this event was starting. 

I restrained myself, and just got two DD sized swimsuits and the pool bag.

I passed on this one since nothing was too compelling for me, and I know I'm going to want Abyss Black outfits (and boots that will probably sell out in 30 seconds) in the August stuff.

I snagged the swimsuit with the yellow jacket last night.  Now I need a tan DD to wear it.  

I got the peach casual outfit, the blue hoodie set and the msd white deportive shoes.

I really messed up and missed the pink bag. I knew it was a long-shot anyhow but, I wanted to try and I end up sleeping 😓
