Parabox's Original 80cm 'Otome Dolls'

I wasn't sure if this was the right section to post about this,but figured it should be since this is 100% by Parabox..

A little while ago, Parabox announced that they will be launching two new doll series this year: a 15cm ABS/Hard vinyl doll series called 'Paraboccle', and an 80cm completely soft vinyl chibi-ish 'Otome Doll'. All info about Otome Dolls are on it's webpage below:

I'm really interested in how soft vinyl joints could work, and JUST 40,000jpy for a full set doll of that size is kinda amazing. I'm not feeling the realistic head sculpt they have for these shots, but an anime style sculpt is planned too so I'll be looking forward to that.

Tbh I'm not too sure it's a doll that I want for myself, but it does seem really interesting. Any thoughts??

Gosh - I actually love the look of that. Can't wait to see the anime face as well, and definitely intrigued as to how making the whole thing out of soft vinyl is going to work. I can't picture the joints!

Gosh I just saw this and would love to get my hands on one. I know my daughter would probably try to take her from me though.😂

I really hope that they are making other prototypes for their anime head. Their first one looks wayyy too flat imo... Most Parabox anime head sculpts in general are like this so it's not unexpected, but I wish it were otherwise..😣 

She does look cute from the front though! 

Realistic hands are a little spooky with the anime head but it's not the worst thing. I'm so glad she has a sculpted lip instead of a flat mouth like most custom DDH01.

User @Lunis has one of these now! I know she posted a couple images on her Instagram. She purchased just the blank body to do a custom.

i genuinely think these are so cute! i agree that the parabox faceup is a little flat but still pretty cute, plus i'm sure you could just get one commissioned or do it yourself in any case. might even be a fun challenge for an artist to do a faceup on a head that size! (≧∇≦) these aren't at the top of my list per se but i do really love the look of them, i hope i can pick one up eventually.

really looking forward to seeing how @Lunis customizes this doll too, maybe that will sell me on them! ♡

oh my goodness! thank you @Monty for pointing that out, i kind of wanted one before but honestly the customer photos are really selling me on them. this post in particular i think is adorable

These are amazing, and I want one!  Pretty sure my partner would slay me if I tried talking him into letting me get one, but.... 

They have came out with a newer body that you can change there hands. You can pick boy or girl body. I am going for a anime boy.

 

Wow, the owner pictures look amazing. I'm seriously considering taking one home. It looks like it takes what, toddler? size clothing? I see some people say they pinned it in the  back since the body is a bit smaller in width, but I would be concerned about clothing maybe the most, but there are so many cute ones on twitter.

They fit preemie baby clothes better. I will try this out when I get the newer body.

A preemie is actually...smaller than I hoped. Too childish clothing? I would also think the proportions would be bad for this size. I would think if the doll was a little larger? thicker? it would be better to find clothing, but maybe I am not familiar enough with kid's clothing. 😅

Yes some preemie are very small. ( l was a preemie and very small) l bought second hand baby clothes for the old 80cm body and 0-3 months clothes clothes was not a bad fit. I think this oneies was for newborn.
