Henshin_Cyborg Posted July 13, 2019 (edited) Hello all! I joined recently, decided to say hi after lurking on the old forum for a while. I started out in the doll hobby last year by collecting 1/3 resin dolls, specifically ones made by Ringdoll. After acquiring 4 Ringdoll boys I decided it was time to add a 1/3 girl to the family and I wound up turning my attention to Dollfie Dream. I purchased a Miku on New Years and fell in love with the soft vinyl bodies. They are significantly more cooperative than resin bodies I learned haha! After her I assembled an original girl from parts all over the world and then acquired a DD Kirito to see how the boys were. My most exciting acquisition recently however, was a customized DDH-09 head/wig/jewelry set by Secretcross. I have drooled over the heads he makes for a very long time and am excited to have one of his girls. I’m looking to attend the Volks Doll Party in nearby Anaheim in September, so maybe I’ll see some of you there! In regards to my new 09 head, I’m going to post a box opening thread since the box she came in was quite thoughtful and charming, but here she is. Wig, necklace, face up, mods all by Secretcross. She came with earrings too but she’s not wearing them in this pic. @alric I hope to acquire more 1/3 vinyl boys soon, a bit more difficult to get than girls atm. I'm excited about the Male bodies being offered for dream choice too. Though I am currently waiting to see what other heads they plan to release in the future before settling on one. I'd love to have a tan boy. I should also mention that Nanika here on the forum is doing a anime character doll meet at the end of the month in Torrance mitsuwa if you feel like coming by. I agree with you a tan DD boy would be great to have, I’m considering having one made while the tan skin is still seasonal. Head wise I’ve already chosen 16 with makeup 1. 😉 @alric I love the idea of a gray skin DD! It would be neat if they did a limited seasonal gray skin like Ringdoll does once in a while.
