I grabbed some moldable silicone putty earplugs at my local Walmart (check the pharmacy section) and that works great so far. This was recently though; I'm not sure how long they last before losing stickiness...

You can use silicone ear plugs, and get them at any decent grocery store. There are YouTube videos showing how to use them.

You could also get putty from Volks.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

Thirding silicone earplugs. I got mine at a local drugstore when I had to pick up some medication, and the pack I got has enough for many, man dolls.

He/Him --- I like making stuff --- Please don't make sexual/lewd comments about my dolls, thank you!

I have some Volks putty around here somewhere, but all I've ever actually used for my dolls is "Mack's Pillow Soft Silicone Putty Earplugs"

Amber has had it securing her eyes since shortly after she arrived over 4 years ago.  I did a brain check on her a short while ago.  I haven't noticed any issues in all this time.

I use white poster tack, personally.  The silicon ear plugs might be a better option, though; the poster tack works great for my resin dolls, but it doesn't want to stick to the vinyl heads at all.

My resin doll has kneaded eraser holding the eyes in 🤔

Good to know about the plugs, I will probably invest in those for when I get my DD though, as I'll want to change her eyes!

I have used Volks' putty but it doesn't come with a lot. Right now my MDD is using Elmer's Tac 'N Stik Reusable Adhesive. I've also used this putty for my Obitsu dolls, and of course my posters. I've also used the orange variant and it hasn't left a mark my MDD.

I just use the Volks stuff.  I generally don't change eyes out, so once eyes are in they stay in unless they fall out.  I noticed that after a while it does seem to loose it's tack, but I found that just by working it with my hands it gets tacky again (Pull it apart and squish it back together again over and over.).

So far, I've only used the Volks putty, and, for Tana, I just recently changed it out after nearly ten years.... *wow*

The only reason I changed it out was that it looked a bit crusty/flaky, and just changed it out for general purpose.

Otherwise, all my girls use it. I did entertain using the silicone, but I very infrequently changed out their eyes once I'm happy with their look.

I've heard great things about the moldable silicone, though, so I'd try it as an alternative.

BTW, when I changed out the eyes on my Saber Alters, I was able to do both sets of eyes with only half the putty in the container, so, a little does go quite a ways.... I used a combination of a dental pick and toothpicks to wedge the putty into the smaller/tighter areas to good effect.
