Opinion on traveling with Dollfie

Recommended Posts

Dollfie-Lover43

Hello everyone, I want to know you opinion with traveling with your dollfie? Since I'm going on a Cruise to Mexico, in October, for 10 days, and I plan on taking my girl, Bream. But I want to know some of you opinions first.

Definitely do it!  I took my Manami to Japan with me in 2017 and had a great time with her.  For the airplane ride over and back she rode in a hardcased carryon bag/luggage piece.  While we were out and about she was either on my arm or in my backpack.  It was really fun getting pics of her in Akihabara and other places in and around Tokyo.  We even got on Japanese TV when we went to a cherry blossom festival in Ueno park!  😄

So yes, take your doll with you.  As long as you keep an eye on her and take care of her, you'll both have a wonderful time!

I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

I would say do it, but only if you are going to do stuff with her.

The last time I travelled with one was on a business trip and she spent a lot of time locked in my suitcase while I was out. When I was traveling to and from it was one more thing I had to keep track of, and doubly so because I really wouldn’t want to lose her. I’d rather lose my camera, and it cost a lot more.

If you do leave her in your room keep her locked up while you are out.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

Seconding that you should only if you plan on doing things with her or at least have her where you can see her.

I took one with me when I went out of town once and I was too shy to bring her out so I spent most of it worried about her getting squished in my bag.

I had Candie with me on a three day road trip and it was great to able to take her out at stops and take cool photos. But I will warn you about taking your girl off boat. When I stopped at one of the islands, and then was heading back to the boat, they scan your bags like TSA. One of my bags disappeared and I never got it back. I'd hate for that to happen to you!

Yeah, that reminds me, Mexico's baggage checkers are notorious for stealing valuables from luggage. Never put electronics or valuables in any bags that are going to leave your sight. Last time I went there I forgot that, and put a cell phone in my suitcase. It was gone when I arrived home, and they had clearly turned over everything in the bag in an effort to find anything else of worth.

I've brought dolls on trips before, but I usually either bring them a) when I'm going to a convention where I can show them off, or b) if it's gonna be a relatively chill, leisurely trip with the free time to get them out and take photos as I please. If it's a very packed, go-go-go kind of trip, I would prefer to leave them at home. So like, if I ever do a Disney park trip again, I'm probably not bringing a doll because I would be too focused on the attractions to bother posing the doll--not to mention I like me some roller coasters and the thought of bringing a doll on a coaster is just. . . no.

I'm actually debating if I'd rather bring a doll or my good DSLR to Japan in September. If I do bring a doll, I'll probably bring Tachyon instead of one of the humans--that little dragon kinda fits in my purse if I leave his head and wings sticking out, and I don't have to worry about keeping wigs or clothes in order. On the other hand, when I went to Seattle, I had a fantastic time taking pictures with the DSLR, and I suspect that for the first trip to Japan I'll probably be to ADD to set a doll up for shots.

In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.

I also agree with the opinion of it depends on the type of trip. When I went sightseeing in Vegas and Hawaii I brought dolls with me and took pictures during leisure time. But in other years where we went to Virginia specifically to go to Busch Gardens or Water Country USA every day they stayed at home since there would be no good occasion to have them with me.
