Volks - Moi-même-Moitié 20th Anniversary Collaboration

Volks International are running a lottery on the 31st August for a Moi-même-Moitié (a Japanese Gothic Lolita Fashion Label) 20th Anniversary. It's for an extremely limited (and extremely expensive) Super Dollfie - only 31 available + a limited "Sister" outfit set that will fit DDS & DD. I think the outfit is pretty nice - the nun headdress from the Guiding Sister or Praying Sister outfits would work well with it too.

That price is about par for the course for a Limited SD. She’s maybe $150 - $200 above the normal price, possibly due to licensing.  

The outfit is nice.

I think the doll looks nice in what they've provided as a default.  I like the outfit and wig as pictured.  I'm not a fan of the skintone of the doll.  The images make her appear porcelain white with blue makeup.  While I think that definitely works with how they have her dressed up here, I feel it severely limits her outside of this one particular style.

As for the outfit, I like it on this doll.  It's a bit plain for my peculiar tastes.  It also strikes me as very basic and plain for it's price tag of 10800.  That's just dress, collar, headdress, gloves, and a necklace.  It doesn't even include those little cuffs for the shoes (which look to be separate accessories on the full doll) or the white frilled socks.  Something like this would historically be a sub 80K set.  

I'd like the shoes with those little cuffs.  If the outfit set included the shoes or the wig, then I'd be interested in the set.  Otherwise it seems to me to be an abnormally priced very plain black set.

So, I like the look, but I'm not in the market.  I don't want any more resin dolls, and even if I did the asking price is too rich for me.

Porcelain white skin with blue makeup is precisely Mana style! I love the doll, looks really spot on. I’m very happy the outfit is being sold separately though I don’t know if I’d dare leave it on a DD for long. 

Well, I didn't expect to see Malice Mizer's Mana in 2019 😮 And as a doll! I'm reminded of all the gothic lolita BJDs from a decade or more ago.

I like the outfits, and the hair on the doll, but the blue makeup just doesn't do it for me.

I think they did a great job making a doll that looks like Mana, although it surprised me that the collab hasn’t happened until now. (It also surprised me that the body is female)

The dress ironically fits more types of DDs than it does SDs but i’d be scared to put it on a DD. The price doesn’t surprise me considering the fashion label.

The doll isn't to my taste at all. The outfit is fine but not something I'd buy...maybe if I had Ranko Kanzaki.

Hmm, I'm a little bit torn about this.  On one hand, it's amazing to see Mana as a doll in 2019!!  On the other, the outfit is cute but very plain.  I was hoping for more lace, at least.  Think I'll be passing on both the outfit and the doll.

I guess I'll make a clarification.  I had a moment of reading comprehension total fail.

I knew I had seen this specific look before, but I didn't know where.  I had seen images of Mana before, but had forgotten them.  It didn't register that this was his label and this was a doll based on his persona. 

...even though the name of the doll clearly displayed on the translated (and untranslated) page is Mana.

It doesn't really change anything I typed earlier.  But it would have provided me some useful context had I been paying attention and recognized things.  Thanks to Yukamina mentioning Malice Mizer.  Those were the magic words which clicked the recognition button.
