I really like Mash, based on what I've seen so far I will likely order her.

Damn, I have a big need for Gudako, mostly because I fanboy over her and her antics so much lol. Maybe she'll be my first DD?

Oh man I'm actually SUPER HYPE for both of them, and I'm definitely going to try to get both. Though I might send Gudako off to my friend for a new faceup LMAO I feel like Volks faceups are sometimes a little afraid of having any energy? Like Nero's official release is very muted while she as a character really isn't...

Here are some interesting things I've noticed in the fine print on the Volks News pics.

1. Gudako comes with a hand that has the Command Seal printed on it. When I first saw it, I assumed it would be something like Miku's tattoo decal you have to put on yourself, but I guess its more like Miku's nail polish or the DDs that have gloves painted on. Not sure yet if this is an extra hand or not, but the fact that 'command seal hand' is listed in what comes with her kind of implies that she has it in addition to regular hands.

2. As others have pointed out, Mash will come with Fou, although he's apparently still in progress (we at least get to see a bit of him). I imagine they'll show better pics of him by the time the preorder starts.

3. Both girls come with body stockings just for the legs. Note this is -not- the tights they are wearing, which are also listed separately as just 'tights' - they each also come with 'lower-body body tights', in other words stain prevention leggings. 2B also had something like this so it's nice to see that they're including these with the dolls - particularly ones like this which have a high chance of appealing to newbies who may not be prepared for stains.

Aww, Gudako looks really cute though I don't know if I'm gonna pre-order her. At least Volks is branching off from Saberfaces this time but in the future I hope they make Gilgamesh 🥺.

That's something new for sure as Rin Tohsaka v2 (and I assume v1) had decals for the seal to put on her hand.

Thanks for reminding me, I had forgotten to order my copy from Volks USA. 

I want to see display photos of them. The one with the glasses is cute, but I’m still lukewarm on them. 

Oh cool!  I was wondering when they were doing the free shipping deal again.  But it seems they have upped the price this time, from $3 to $5 for the book.  Not that this is an issue for me because I find it well worth that.  But it was still odd to see.    I just ordered mine so thanks for posting about it!

It seems strange to me that there's not a USA pre-order page for these dolls yet.  Volks USA posted a link on their Facebook the other day, but it was just to the Jp page.

There's nothing on the JP webstore yet either, just the page on the Volks Japan website, which doesn't really have a USA counterpart; the individual pages for each doll and outfit aren't up yet either. I don't know if this is typical or not as I've not really been in the hobby long enough, or paid that much attention to the last two preorders, to know. They should start having them displayed in their stores at some point as well so we'll get more pictures.

I'd think the Japan stuff would be up by October 1st?

I think this is pretty normal. I’d expect the USA pages to go up in the next few weeks.

I wouldn’t worry too much about Volks USA not carrying them. Just my opinion here, but I think Volks USA is an important part of their business. 

I really hope someone out there just wants gudako as a doll and not her outfit. I want all 4 of those outfits but can only rationalize getting one doll really and mash is such a sweet marshmallow

Took some digging, but the first Nier announcement on the Volks USA page was for the Japan store. Their own announcement of participation was about 10 days after that one.

Oh I didn't even see their pages were up! Mash's other outfit is so much cuter than I expected, definitely joining the pre order for her. She's pretty plain, but I love Mash. Maybe I'll customize her away from the character. Hope we can see Fou soon.

I have been checking every few days for that but didn't see it even now until you mentioned it because I had been looking at the English page, and the links still aren't there for that side. I know those often go up later I just hadn't thought to check this time.

The only thing I don't like about Mash's outfit is those plaid bits; without those I think it'd be perfect. It also looks like a stain risk as I can't see any evidence of white lining. OTOH, with the long sleeves and high collar, it is probably possible to hide a bodysuit underneath.

Now that I have seen the pages, and seen them in Volks News, they are a bit tempting.

Both girls look quite cute, and do not seem to have the styling cues I gripe about with many recent DDs. However, I don't know the characters, and I need to confine myself to the few DDs I really love, and not buy every cutie that comes along, heh.

I’ve been telling myself that. It’s a space issue at this point, and I really need a new car too. XD

I’m really hoping they won’t release Belle as the Disney doll, or I am boned. 

I had a chance to see a DDDy at the Dolpa, and the body looked better than I thought. I kind of regret not getting 2B now. Well, only in the sense that she’s one of two DDDy that I like the look of, not in the sense that I didn’t do the right thing by not setting myself up to spend ¥100,000 on a doll in October. I looked over all the older limited DDDy on the Volks site and didn’t really like any of them except for Kanu, and I if I get a DDDy I want an f3 and not an older body  

If 2B shows up in a future Volks event I may grab her though. 

I also got too see an MDD, it was cute, but I’m still not into MDDs. I love the look of Foo’s MDD, but they just aren’t for me. Her head might look good on a DDP body, but I suspect her cuteness comes from the MDD silhouette as much as her sculpt. 

I want to see photos from the display of these two though, and think about whether or not I will wish I got them a year from now.

Most of the collaboration DDdy models haven't appealed to me; I think my favorite is Haruka Niimi, who with different eyes can be really pretty like here.

But I just don't like the body at all. The boobs are weird and only look right to me in very specific outfits, and while I don't mind the wider hips and larger thighs, they make the lower legs look like sticks in comparison; IMO Volks should've given DDdy different, larger shins as well.

Foo's MDD is really cute, but not for me personally as I'm just not interested in child dolls (perhaps related to my dislike of kids in real life ). DDP is as young as I'll go I suppose.

Since 2B was a preorder doll, perhaps aftermarket prices won't be so bad. Volks also might end up having one of those "DDs for sale that people didn't pay for" clickwars.

I learned from Saber, plate armors are mega cool but terrible to pose and keep on normally so no more armored characters ever again. I'll consider Mash but I'm really just looking forward to my 2B so I can swap the brand new DDDy DDP body for my main custom girl.
