DD 2019 Preorder: Master (Gudako) and Mash

Fou is so precious! I can't get Mash, since I just got Rin from Mandarake, but I might see if there's anyone not interested in him after they arrive.

That's why I'm kinda glad he's a little creepy, I think he's creepy in a cute kind of way. The problem is more the fact that hes semi-realistic with his eyes and fluff, but then his body is super simplified. I understand that making him super intricate with his little paws and all would be very intensive on volks and cause the doll to cost a lot more, but I wish they'd done one or the other (committed to making him look semi realistic or simplified his face to match his simplified body). 

I kinda wanna touch him though.

I'm not getting Mash but if I were you could have him, as I'd be unable to get any rest with that spawn of Satan in my house waiting to murder me in my sleep. 😓

Don't worry, the only person he actually wants to murder is Merlin (and Merlin probably deserves it).

Yeah, I can kind of see that... it's a bit of a contrast, especially next to the anime-style dolls.  I'm just a sucker for small, fluffy animals, though, and I have a previous attachment to Fou already.

Not sure if it's the right topic/place but I'm trying to pre-order Mash and right at ''checking order'' it goes back to ''Enter information'' giving an error that says ''A system error has occurred.'' Anyone else have/had problems like this? Mash (and Fou too lol) looks so cute but this is kinda frustrating Contacted Volks too but thought maybe here someone would know about it

Yise unfortunately I didn't run into that issue but hopefully it gets fixed for you? Also definitely couldn't resist and put in for Mashu a bit ago- Fou was definitely a part of the decision 🤣 But I'm so excited as they both look wonderful and it's my first preorder project! 💗 Not gonna lie though... Kinda tempted to have Mashu dress up as Musashi sometimes as she's more of a favorite than Mashu for me...But I already have other Fate doll ideas rolling in my head so maybe not otl

Also on the topic of Fou... I have the Merlin Nendoroid and there's the April Fools art/now 3rd skill animation of Merlin getting kicked by Fou. Pretty sure there's a photo idea to be had there somewhere.

Alright after searching around (thank god for you all) I found other people having the same problem and it all led back to my bank having a credit card that doesn't use the 3d secure system. Netherlands yay. So now I used a different card and it worked! So now I'm joining the Mash and Fou pre-order team! 😍 This is also the very first time putting in a pre-order. I'm saving all the Mash pictures to help get through the wait haha 😂

Did any of you also get the other clothing sets? I really like the mage's association uniform set. Maybe Mash can ''cosplay'' as Master? 😂

Bit the bullet and pre-ordered both of them through Volks USA.

Still thinking this outfit might be perfect for Ranko, but I don't have long left to decide if I want to get it.

I ordered it yesterday. I was already considering it, but your idea of putting it on Ranko convinced me. 

(Now I just need to make up my mind about the other outfit. I've never really liked the orange shirt, but on the other hand, I love love love Fate verse and the rest of the set is pretty nice. Maybe I can find another shirt that'll fit...)

The only thing I don't like about it for Ranko, as the character Ranko Kanzaki, is the plaid pocket flaps. Ranko's clothing accents should be frills and lace.

I think it would work well if Ranko had a different wig, like say a grey wig with long hair or a bob. Her coloring would work really well with all the black, but her default hairstyle has a Gothic Lolita feel to it, and I don't think that fits this outfit well. The outfit is very crisp, like a uniform, and has more of an adult feel to it.

Mash is a very cute character in the game, but she's very much an adult warrior type of character.

Those flaps are the one issue for me too; if it weren't for those I'd likely have already ordered this, even if not for Ranko for someone else because I love the outfit, except for those flaps.

I didn't think about a different wig but that's a good idea, and it would let me use the hat too, which I wasn't even going to try to use with her twintails.

From the anime it seemed like Ranko always wore the goth-loli style clothing, but I figure she has to have something else in her wardrobe, but still in colors like black.

There is one scene in the anime where she has her hair down. It’s at the company apartments, and at first I had no idea which of the characters it was until I realized grey hair and red eyes = Ranko. 

Ranko is one of those idols who is always in character in public.

That gave the idea of getting a straight hair wig for her. I got the outfit for Mash, so either way it will work for me.

Haha; the Volks doll is the same in that I've seen pictures of her with different wigs and sometimes don't recognize her. It's been long enough since I watched the anime I don't remember that scene.

I have a comment about wigs but I'll put it in the Ranko thread.

I placed an order for the Mage's Association outfit today.  I haven't decided on Mash's alternate outfit.  

I hope Volks continues making Gudako's Mystic Code outfits,  I'd be interested in seeing just how they'd do the Chaldea combat uniform.  Some of the others include Saber's suit from Fate/Zero and her casual outfit from F/SN, which could use an update.  

My preorder for Master Protagonist & Mash Kyrielight with Outfits have been confirmed. Cant wait!

GAHH... At the 11th hour, I caved and pre-ordered both sets. The pre-order this year didn't quite appeal to me originally but the completionist in me couldn't let go. This Fate franchise x DD.. Aahh.. There's just no hope for me!

It's not really trending this way, but I hope Volks continues to release outfits for these two.  

This one was just announced for the game.

Saber's suit from Fate/Zero can pull double duty.  

And of course there's Mash's Servant outfit and shield.  Lately though, Volks only seems to release the occasional extra outfit at the release of the doll, with Miku as the only exception.

Yeah, I was discussing this via pm recently. Even Miku isn't getting much now outside of the Snow Miku or Magical Mirai outfits, or something somewhat special like the collaboration that led to the vampire dress. It's been years since a module from a song PV was made. Luka got Senbonazkura and nothing else so far. Rin and Len got Senbonzakura, the "evil" outfits, and nothing else I can remember.

Volks used to release the themed sets for Idolmaster about once a year, and those have stopped too. Volks still has some of that stuff available and it's mostly cheap on Mandarake with certain exceptions like Holy Night Gifter, so I guess it didn't sell up to expectations. Yuriko Nanao didn't even get a second outfit with her release. Volks didn't use the rerelease of dolls like Ranko and Miku Reboot as an opportunity to do a new extra outfit though I guess they've never really done that with rereleases.

Looks like shipping starts on October 31st!
