New old Transformers

I've always been a fan of the vintage Transformers toys so when I found out there were new re-releases of vintage styled toys coming out, I was excited to see them.  And thanks to some luck and my friend Gabriel, I was able to get a few favorites of mine!  Here's a couple of my girls opening them and figuring them out. 

 

Kiyomi - "So are you two ready to have some fun?"

Nas - "Define fun."

Isla - "Is ice cream involved?"

I - "They have pretty colors."

K - "These are Transformers.  Robots that change into other things."

N - "But what are these flat blocks? They look odd."

The antics of the cassettes were great.  I fell out of my chair laughing at "I claim these mountains in the name of almighty Megatron!"

Nas and Isla had some good alt modes for Frenzy and Rumble.

I hope Nas wasn't too offended by Soundwave's superiority complex.  I have a few clones of the guy, and they're all like that, but OK once you get to know them.  😀

Thank you very much!  I always try to have some fun with new toys.    The MDD girls have no clue about these things so they see these thru untrained eyes and find other ways to view them.  I used to try different things with mine as a kid too so that trickled down to them.  Nas pushed him around a little until she figured out he can do her no harm.  LOL

I do too!  As a kid of the 80's I had all of the cassettes released back then.  There were lots of really neat ones too.  Your pun was quite good, I wish I had thought of it!  XD

The soundwave reissue was definitely better than Optimus missing a trailer.

The little guys are pretty funny when they want to be.  😉

As for the hats, I got them in a group order from this place:

Their stock changes and rotates so sometimes they have the kitty hats and other times they don't.  There was a cool Totoro hat there before too.  I was close to getting that one but grabbed a different style instead.

i saw these at my local WAL-MART a couple months back.

had i the $90.00 it would have required, -for the SOUNDWAVE and two dual-cassette packs i wanted-

on me at the time, i would have been half-tempted to pick them right up.

i've had the original since i was a young boy, -in loose, heavily-used condition-

ever since my mother picked it up for me at a collectable-toy bazaar, back in the very-late-80's/very-early-90's;

(i got the cassette much later, found at a collectable-toy shop for around $5.00/$10.00 somewhere around 2000/2002)
