DDP Standard Models - Ribbon & Coron

Volks have announced two rather adorable new standard girls: Ribbon and Coron on DDP bodies.

Oh wow they are SO adorable!!!! I've been wanting a DDP so badly, but have been uncertain about which head mold. Both of these are such cuties!!! I love that they've decided to offer two standard models. I think I am leaning towards Coron, but they are both adorable!

I made a weird noise when I saw them cos they’re so cute. I think their heads would also work on MDD.

I really didn’t expect to see standard DDP, does that mean we can expect standard boys in another 2 years or so lol (probably not when we can’t even have standard male SDs anymore 8’)) 

I hope this means a range of DDP hands is coming because I just...don’t think they look good with DD hands... I really love option hands so the lack of DDP ones has been the main barrier in me wanting one.

Volks please don't do this to me.. I can't take how cute they are.

I was just saying during the After Party that I wondered when a DDP standard would appear as it had been awhile. Wasn't expecting two though!

I’m hoping it means more DDP clothing, but the cuteness makes me think they are going to focus on clothes for small children as opposed to tween / teen styles. 

Option hands would be nice.

I'm a little surprised they didn't go for an older look (which I certainly would've preferred) since these are basically just taller MDDs. And non-children clothes for DDP would surely be a good thing.

I was wondering if/when Volks would make a DDP standard model. Never would have guessed that they would give us two! They are adorable! I hope we can get some more pictures of them soon.

I want the lilac wig and the eyes, are they the 12 and 13 heads for the FC? they look the same for me, the f01 whit the carved mouth and the 01 with the painted mouth.

I think Ribbon's mouth is different as it's wider at the bottom than the top, which doesn't appear to be the case with DCH-13. However, Volks pictures of that head on the Dream Choice site aren't too clear so I may be 100% wrong.

They certainly seem similar as my first thought upon seeing these was "oh, more modded DDH-01s..."

at least they fixed it for the tweet...? Unfortunate.

Anyway, they are both 43800JPY before tax, and will be released starting at DD Gathering on October 12th (I assume this is when they go online too?)
They're also using a new type of eye also debuting at DD Gathering, U Type. I like them a lot - I typically don't like any of the standard eyes Volks offers and never planned to keep them if I got a Dream Choice doll, but these ones are pretty nice.

I missed seeing those eyes when I looked over the scans. They look useful as they're somewhat similar to the Vocaloid eyes.

I love Coron! I would add her to the doll family for sure! I'm glad to see the DDP being offered in the standard lineup. 

Ribbon is ADORABLE
Is that mouth carved? I'm having a hard time telling from the pictures. If it is I will definitely be considering her.

They look really good! I don't want either, but I'm glad to see DDP on the basic line. Hopefully the clothes they'll make it for it won't be too often, I don't want them to break my bank X'D

Just noticed that in the tweet earlier that has the prices, I can also see that they are original heads for both of them, Ribbon Original Head and Coron Original Head (can only...very barely make that out in the blurry photo). They do look similar to modded 12 and 13 though although different at the same time. I'd like to see clearer pics of Coron from more angles because I'm curious if she actually has any lips at all or if her mouth is just painted on. I do really like Coron, but at the same time I think she'd look better as a MDD. Those flat kind of faces look fine and cute on smaller dolls but the taller they get the more it starts to look off to me.

For those eyeing off Ribbon and Coron they have sadly been delayed. They were originally meant to release on the 12th but now they will only accept preorders then and ship the girls in November.

The blog post seems to indicate the recent typhoon 15 was at fault. Hoping that didn’t affect the preorder dolls somehow too. 

Hoping I’ll still get to see the pair in person on the 12th though.

As usual, the photos taken of the Volks store displays give a much better idea of what the dolls actually look like, compared to Volks' official photos.

I love Coron. 😭

While both girls are adorable I'm really in love with Coron. I'm always a sucker for that tiny mouth expression on dolls 😍 So she's definitely on the want list for sure. Since she's a standard girl I know I don't have to rush to get her which is nice.

I really want Coron but with Ribon's eyes and hair.

Can you confirm if Ribbon's mouth is sculpted?
