Looking at all of your pictures, I think it's clear that the open mouth is sculpted and the other one is painted on. I don't remember which girl is which. 😓

It does looks like it's sculpted, I just haven't seen anyone say for sure it is. I want one of them (one day) and I'm super torn on which one.

I think Ribbon and Coron are very cute... I'm to get Ribbon myself because I think her smile is too cute. Probably will put her head on an MDD body though. I think she looks a lil like longchu.

Volks USA or Japan? They went up on Volks Japan on October 12th: Ribbon and Coron

As they are standard models, it's not technically a preorder. However, there was a delay in manufacturing so there is a short delay before shipping, estimated for late November.

ah! i love how they are styled for their sale pictures. does anyone know what top/tie coron is wearing in her pictures? it looks like the skirt and jacket are from the recently released hoodie set, but i can’t figure out what set the blouse and tie combo are from.

Looks like the High School Girl Set / Mini and I believe you are correct the rest is the Candy Pink Hoodie Set / Mini.

I stopped by Akihabara Doll Point yesterday. Ribbon's open mouth is indeed sculpted.

I love Coron! They’re both so cute but I can’t resist Coron’s little pout! 😍 Good thing she’s not a limited doll since I will have to wait a while.  

I'm a bit late to the party, but I'm so happy seeing these pictures of the new DDP Standards! ♥ It's too bad that the poor factory suffered from one of the September typhoons. There's been so much destruction this season; it's very sad.

I'm hoping to see these two darling DDP Standards on Volks USA after the production delay is (hopefully) taken care of. I really want to bring home Coron! ♥♥♥

Man, they are TOO adorable! The more I look at photos of Ribbon, the more I like her just the way she is. But I do want to see them in different wigs and outfits. No idea when/if I'll be able to pick one of them up but they have a lot of my attention, that's for sure.

They will be available on Volks USA starting Dec 13th.

The wigs look nicer than I thought - Ribbon's especially seems to have different shades of purple. I also notice how Ribbon's mouth looks less like a smile from a higher angle, which makes her expression seem to change - its interesting. I still want to see both on MDD bodies though.

Yeah, Ribbon looks kinda traumatized from that angle lol. Those wigs do look really nice though. A definite improvement on the other standard models'.

So do we get DDP hands now?

Coron is SO cute, I prefer 1/4 dolls for 'play' so I may have to get her eventually. Plus I already have a wardrobe for her, since I have a bunch of MSDs already lol

My Ribbon came but it’s been dark and overcast so my pics are bad. Plus I am still learning her center of balance. Having never had a dollfiedream, 2 things I noticed, her wig is much shorter than I thought from pictures and she is huge, I was thinking she’d be just a hair bigger than a fairyland minifee who are considered 1/4 and I believe around 43cm. But she towers above them. Those three inches or so really make a big difference. I am not sure if she will fit in my mini fees clothes so I haven’t even dressed the poor dear yet. I hate how the body suit looks, but I want to protect her. I think I have some other wigs I can try on her later and share some pics. Pics are on Instagram @Xenokitten I will try to get better pics this weekend.

My Ribbon should have arrived 5 days ago but it’s gotten stuck in transit and they are tracking it down. It also almost got left at a wrong address ... it’s killing me to see owner pics 😭

Update from my experience today. To anyone not famillar with DDP, minifee clothes (and similar 1/4 sizes) definitely do not fit... Also, if using the body stocking, velcro will snag the stocking so be careful. MSD clothes may fit? I don't own any MSD or Volks official outfits yet. Surprisingly, though, "my life" and "my generation" (kinda generic american girls dolls from walmart and target) their clothes fit - might be a little bit big but not bad. And a seller on amazon called JXstar who makes generic american girl doll clothes, are wayyyy too big at the arm holes and waists. 

Here are some pictures trying on different clothes and wigs.

Glitter Girls outfits - fits minifee and similar 1/4 dolls perfectly - way too small - in some cases won't even go on at all on DDP:

My Life / My Generation Walmart/Target Brand clothes - almost a perfect fit - tiny bit big in the chest/shoulders

JXStar (Amazon seller) "18 inch doll clothes"

Fit varies, here is one dress - way too big - I have it tucked around in the back so it's not as obvious in the pic but it doesn't work at all in reality

Here is another - still a little big but not nearly as bad - same cut just a different pattern - still would not recommend - too big.

@Xenokitten By experience, regular MSD clothes should be a better fit. However, just know that since MSD and DDP have different overall body dimensions (besides a bit of height difference) some clothes might fit loose or will be shorter-looking like dresses/skirts on a DDP. Azone and AZO2 are other brands you might want to look into besides Volks clothes. For more information, the DDP chat and Information thread has some good discussion about clothes brands and sizes that fit DDP by other members!

 

I really like Coron, She's so cute. She has such a cute faceup too. Ribbon is cute too but for me personally I don't like open mouthed dolls. Corons definitely the one I want to get.
