Volks News 85

There are some page images on this twitter. I don't know if they show everything. It appears there are a lot of individual clothing items this time; jeans, a bunch of socks, etc.

I see one other new outfit I might want; the one on the left. I believe that crop top is long enough it should cover the bust joint without having to use a one-piece torso, which automatically makes it awesome. I am clueless and can't figure out what the first word of the name is...it's the <something> Girly Set. I know katakana but sometimes getting it back to English stumps me.

Looking at the picture more, it's being shown on a DDdy, so I don't know if it would fully cover the joint on a DD where it is lower.

I would guess: スポーツ・カジュアル・ガーリーセット

Or in non-moonspeak, "Sports Casual Girly Set".

I agree that crop top is long enough to cover the bust joint.

The sport sets are nice, other than that there is nothing else I really want from what is shown.

That would do it...when things are shortened is when it really tends to stump me. It took me years to figure out what プロレス was (literally "puroresu" or "prores" but, of course, professional wrestling). I was reading this one..."spokaji"...what?

As there are three events, I don't know if we see everything there but perhaps that's all of it. There's probably a bit missing as I only see one set of shoes, the ones for September.

Well, jeans are awesome. I just already have some from TTYA so didn't get too excited upon seeing these.

It sure is elaborate and looks nice as a display piece, but it doesnt really appeal to me, especially at that price. Just so everyone knows though, it's a Doll Point exclusive item. So if you make the pilgrimmage, you can buy that and marry your DD I... guess?

EDIT: also I -think- those jeans are a rerelease of the ones Mel wears and they're well worth it. They look good as well as being about half the price of other bjd jeans I see around like TTYA.

Looking again, I'm not sure--are jeans actually being (re)released?

On that one twitter account I only see this picture, which is only for the shirts and cardigans. Pages are cut off and I don't know that all pages are there so there could be other stuff still:

September Collection is up on Volks International website. Clickwar will begin September 21st 10am JST. Looks like the jeans or the sportswear aren't this month.

*Edit: Also they seemed to have restocked some of the July collection - the Marine Tricolor outfits & Swimwear Sets are back in stock.

Was about to post the page but you beat me to it - just wanted to point out that the jeans the SDs are wearing are not the same ones. Those are SD jeans and while they may potentially go on a DD, the jeans being rereleased are specifically for DD as you can see - plus they're skinny jeans! That's why I was so happy when they got released originally, because the only stuff I could find for Mel before that was slightly baggy which would be fine if that's the look I wanted, but he specifically wears skinny jeans so doesn't look right to me with baggy pants.

edit: was nice of them to put the Halloween-themed stuff in the September collection, it means anyone who wants it will actually receive it before Halloween this time.

I like the DD sports outfit with the crop top, and the skirt from the MDD sports set, but what I like most of all is the DD girl with the red hair! Shame she's a Dream Choice exclusive 😞

You mean that one in the first pic cfx shows? If so those style of wigs are usually Dream choice exclusive but the red versions will be available to VIPs via mail order. So they are mainly advertising the wigs on a cute girl haha.

I have become quite attached to the wedding dresses with the optional puffy colored skirts. But if you buy all the pieces (including gloves, trail etc) the cost goes well above 10,000 yen. Will have to think hard on it. Doesn’t help they are using Ram as the model for me since I can see it really suits her..

Yeah, kinda tempted by that one too.

I was considering that shirt too. It's cute, and patterned t-shirts are prety hard to come by, with most of what Volks does being those limited event things.

So I thought I remembered something... This issue of Volks News shows a rerelease(?) of the Akihabara Girls Pure Wind Cafe outfit:

As I don't recall it being available online last time, perhaps it was like Nanami's guitar and only at the store event, and perhaps now it will be sold online?
