I always make my own simple syrup, it's so easy and then you get to play around with flavors and infusions that way. I love Halloween as it makes me happy to see people's creativity when it comes to decoration and costumes. Special events, fun scary movies, costumes, and pumpkin spice or apple flavored everything! Of course I have to include my girls in this, so let's see what they're up to: Clanking chains, chilling cold and spooky sounds give proof that there are ghosts around! Samus starts us off as an elegantly eerie ghost! Be careful about doors you find closed, you never know who will answer when you knock! Katie is here as a sultry devil! Spooky fun and spooky sounds, haunted karaoke seems like a fun way to haunt around: If singing in the woods near a hell door isn't your jam (I don't know why it wouldn't be) you could always swing by a graveyard and see who's stirring and flapping around. Here's Emma as a stately Raven, of the saintly days of yore. dark and dreary a spirit lamp to help light the way I think better and finally a way to find Lydia as our lost Lenore, nameless here forevermore and the lamp-light o'er her streaming throws her shadow on the floor; and my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor shall be lifted--nevermore! but perhaps beauty can't be held back by death? Dude! I already said NEVERMORE!! Of course we all have to finish up with a fun night trick-or-treating! I hope everyone has a safe and fun month! It is a fantastic gin, if you're interested you should follow them on Facebook, they post a lot of really great cocktail recipes and I've enjoyed a lot of them. That's the theme for this month, I can't think of anyway to church up shopping like maniacs, but I did think of some cute outfits! Emma and Katie showing the duality of whom you run into at the big box stores. My cousin and I used to get up early to go and do this, and it used to be so much fun! Lots of fun memories (and I worked a few too, and even had fun with that!) Lydia going the mall fashionista route, even some of the big names have deals to be found! and finally Samus knows how to do this thing right. In comfy clothes, with coffee and a computer! This time around, I wanted to do one of the most classic Christmas stories (especially now that I have enough girls for it!) A Christmas Carol. With so many different versions of the tale being told, I decided to do my own thing. Here's Samus to start things of as the titular character Scrooge. Bah, humbug! With a little Metroid Jacob Marley sneaking up! Expect the first ghost when the bell tolls one! Emma is our posh Ghost of Christmas Past The second ghost, when the bell tolls two! Lydia takes to the Ghost of Christmas Present and the third ghost, at three... Katie comes as the Ghost of Christmas yet to Come She's come with a warning to all of you, if you'll follow her directions... behold, a visage of things that might be!
