So much gorgeousness to catch up on! 😻 

The Christmas pics are a festive delight, really cool. Samus looking very nice in that outfit  The tree and multicolour lights give me cozy feels to those pics too. 

They all look beautiful in their varied styles, very very nice work. 

 

January pics got me flipping a coin for either the very cuddly cute looking Katie or the lazy days Lydia. Really lush. 😸

Thank you for the lovely compliments!  That outfit on Samus for Christmas is my absolute favorite outfit for her.  She's worn it every Christmas, and it's started to not feel like Christmas until I get that outfit on her.  I never thought when I was making her that a doll based on a space bounty hunter would turn into my Christmas doll, but she certainly has 🥰 I totally understand busy and the holidays, I tend to over extend myself during the season too, which is why January's photos are almost always later in the month!  Which is why I'm with lazy Lydia for the first month more often than not!

Thank you!  It's lovely soft in person too.  It was one of the last two things I bought on a whim at the end of the year as I have a resolution for the year not to buy any new doll clothes and only use what I have already used/bought and haven't used yet.  Except when I get to the Dealer's Market at Dollpa LA, I'm not made of steel! lol

February (Part 1)

Doing this in two halves, as the other half is very different from the first, and requires a bit more crafting than the first.  But it's fun, and will be worth coming back for, I swear!  For the first half, we're doing the typical February Valentine's styles.  Cute, sweet, charming, you know.  

Katie up first with a charming dress and fun new hair do (it is fun to play around with all these extra red wigs I have now) 

and Lydia in a short sweatheart dress and her last month of long hair until Fall.

I really liked this wig for her, so it'll be back in the Fall, she'll have a new style for the Spring and Summer that should be fun though!

February (Part 2)

For those of us in the United States, this time of year comes with a certain kind of treat that I always look forward to, and the parents of daughters or people who have friends with daughters know well what I'm talking about.  It's Girl Scout Cookie time, and those girls are waiting outside the supermarkets just waiting to get another $6 from me!  I thought it'd be silly to do a quick photo set with that as a theme, and recruited Emma and Samus as my Cadets.

That really does suit Emma! I can never decide if Katie or Emma is my favourite of your girls. They are both stealing hearts this month though! (Katie’s hair wow)

Thank you, and I get it, they're both very charming in their different ways.  Katies hair this month was a gem of a find!  I was looking for red wigs on Yahoo Japan and it just popped up used, it's a custom wig from Edera, and I'm so happy to have found it as they only do single batches! 

It doesn't look like March is happening, I started a sewing course and it has taken a lot of my free time.  But, today is St. Patrick's day, which is also Katie's naming day, so I thought I'd at least do that and call it March!  

I'm going to double post this month, as I have one more super quick one planned with Lydia for the Equinox on Tuesday, the month just got away from me so fast!

Down to the wire! 

Today is the Spring Equinox, the start of the Spring season, and the start of longer days, hotter nights, and shorter hair for Lydia.  This time I thought I'd have it a little longer than last Spring/Summer and have her in a classic bob.  Welcome Spring! 

(Despite appearances, it's not cold here.  I keep forgetting she has this chest, I really need to get her a flat one.)

I just look at it as something that women have no control over, so people should just ignore it, and not trip about it. XD

Keeping the streak alive!

April has been here, if you hadn't noticed.  I know that April is the first full month of spring, but I've always associated it with still cool weather, cloudy skies and rain.  Now May, there's a Spring month.  But anyway, with that, I tried to capture a bit of that with my pictures this month.  

First I have Samus and Lydia sharing an umbrella on a stormy day.  Fun fact, that polka dot dress is the very first outfit I ever bought, I got it before Samus's head had even shipped.  I still love it on her.  

But there's also flowers blooming, and mushrooms too!  

Merida, Katie and Emma enjoy a flowering field.

May is here! (almost over, but still here!) 

I see a lot of kids, or more like young adults, this time of year enjoying the end of their high school runs, and of course Prom season.  But other than prom there's also other spring dances and the like, and it makes me think about my own prom.... the less said about that, the better.  But hey, let's do a school dance theme.  Is this just a flimsy theme excuse to put my dolls in pretty dresses I've been wanting to put them in but hadn't the theme to fit and take their pictures with fun lighting and shimmery backgrounds?

Samus starts us off an old classic from Volks.  I've used the parts of this dress set separately but this is the first time I've had them together.  

Who wouldn't ask her to dance? 

Lydia in a dress I found second hand, originally for someone else, it didn't quite fit her, but Lydia has yet to meet the dress she couldn't make work.

She's the type that doesn't wait to be asked to dance, she'll do the asking.

I have a feeling that Merida would be the type that gets forced to go (by her mother, I'm sure) and is uncomfortable, but does it anyway.

Merida, a princess does not slouch and drink orange soda instead of dancing! (I didn't have time to make an Irn Bru label, sorry to the Scots)

June is almost over! But that also means we're that much closer to Halloween, so lets do my new favorite thing that's been slowly taking over parts of the US, and do Summerween!  

Wait a minute, you may be saying, is this just another flimsy excuse to do some cosplays you had sitting around that didn't become full themes and you're using a made up kids show holiday to justify doing them and the one fall set that you have that won't fit what you want to do for Halloween this year?

I don't comment here much anymore but still try to check in every month. Was worried June wouldn't happen so I'm glad to see the photos continue! Always love seeing what you get up to with your crew.

July is upon us, and all the summer things that it brings!

I did a couple of different things this time around, so lets start with Samus and Lydia heading out for a countryside picnic.

It's time to pull out that old pic-a-nic basket, just watch out for bears (and metroids)

Truth be told, I haven't been on a picnic in ages.  Maybe I should plan one.

If the country isn't your cup of tea, there's always heading down towards the shore to escape the summer heat.  Emma and Katie are headed that way to take a walk on the shore! (because they couldn't drive, there's no parking)

Meanwhile, our new Northern girl, isn't at all used to this Southern California summer, and opted to stay home, with the curtains drawn and the air conditioner on to do a little summer binge watching.

Merida, are you sure we can't talk you into a summer outing?  You may enjoy it!

I'm going to take that look as a 'No', it's best to move along, I never know when this one is armed or not.  I don't have the heart to tell her August is just going to be hotter.

Great photos! It must have taken quite a bit of time to set everything up. Is the picnic before or after the events in MP4: Beyond? J/K.

It did take some setup, I shot it all across a few days.  As for the picnic, it's between the events of Metroid II: Return of Samus and Super Metroid.  It was a long slog to that Space Science Academy, might as well stop and have a picnic on the way! lol 

although i'm used to the summers in new england, i totally sympathize with merida 😩 it's been sooo hot and humid, i only have the energy to sit inside the house with the cool AC and watch youtube videos 😆 amazing photos as always, of course!!
